Hebrews 11verse1,6 ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. V6-But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.’

You are welcome back to our discussion on the basics of faith. Faith is an important part of the Christian life. In fact, it’s an essential part of the believer’s life if they are going to fulfill their colorful destiny. This is why it also says in Hebrews11verse6, that without faith, it’s impossible to be well-pleasing unto God. Therefore, you need to know how to put your faith to work and how to keep it going. This is one of the reasons why we are looking at the basics of faith. So far, I have some powerful truths with you about faith and today, by his grace, I will proceed further by sharing some other basic truths about faith that you need to know. I am sure you are ready for this, so let’s delve right away into these truths.

5. Your faith works by love. This simply means that without faith, your faith won’t work. Gal5v6. This is one of the major reasons why you can’t avoid any form of bitterness, malice, envy, or unforgiveness in your life. So my dear brothers and sisters, if you want your faith to work and deliver the results, you need to watch your love work. As a general rule, make up your mind that you will be a forgiver and someone who is quick to forgive. If you do this, you will discover that your faith will work for you and you will be victorious in the battles of life. I have discovered from personal experience that resentment and malice are injurious to your faith walk. So as someone who wants their faith to work, stay away from these vices. Mk11v25-26: Col3v13. As you study God’s word, you will also discover that bitterness and unforgiveness can hinder your prayers. So, remember that your faith is energized and propelled by your Love. Matt18v21-25

6. There is a limit to which your faith can work for others. What this simply means is that there is a limit to which you can carry others on your faith. You need to know if your faith will work for you as it ought to. Gal6v2,5 So what is God’s perfect will? It is that you grow and develop your own faith. This is God’s perfect will for every one of his children. The problem we often have is that some people refuse to take responsibility for their faith or they are leaning on other people’s faith. It’s far better for you to grow your faith than to be depending on other people’s faith. So now is the time for us to start taking responsibility for our faith. I pray that you will do so from today so that you can really enjoy the wonders of the faith life. Mk10v52
