Jos.1v1-2: After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying, “Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all these people, to the land which I am giving to them- the children of Israel.

Are you ready to move? Are you willing to make something happen? These are the questions those whoever succeeded in accomplishing their destinies always ask themselves. You need to rise to the occasion and stop folding your hands. You need to take action. This was what God was saying to Joshua in (Jos.1v1-2). Are you ready to answer this call? Until you start making moves, nothing much will be happening. Are you ready to start taking positive action from today? I believe your answer is a Yes and not a No! So how do you go about taking decisive actions? I have shared two of these principles with you so far; however, we will be examining the remaining three principles in today’s lesson. So here we go!

HOW TO TAKE DECISIVE ACTIONS

  1. Make moves based on your faith. Move by faith and not by fear. Let your actions be guided by faith and not by worries or fear. Faith is having confidence in the integrity of God’s word. It is acting on the revealed word of God. So make moves based on his promises that are revealed to you. Doing this will open up a world of opportunities and possibilities for you. This is what Father Abraham did that enabled him to fulfil his colourful destiny. It’s time for you to move by faith. It’s time to put your fears and doubts where it really belongs. It’s time to subdue your fears! (2Cor.5v7).
  2. Make moves based on his instructions to you. Act based on God’s instruction to you. Stop making your moves based on the circumstances or the happenings around you. We walk by common sense. We run by principles, but we fly by instructions. So if you want to be a high flyer in life, start operating by his instructions to you. I guarantee you that his instructions will soon put you in command of the situation of life (Pro.4v20-21; Gen.26v5).
  3. Make bold moves/steps towards your goals/destiny. Be bold and decisive. As this is what it takes to realise your colourful destiny. Fortune befriends the bold. So don’t let the fear of taking that step stop you. Make a move regardless of how you are feeling or your circumstances. Confront your fear. Challenge your insecurities today. As you do this, a new you will arise. What you thought was not possible will be made possible as you begin to take giant steps towards your destiny. I see you getting there. So start moving from today! (1Sam.17v32)
