Gen.31v1-6: Now Jacob heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, “Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s, and from what was our father’s he has acquired all this wealth”. And Jacob saw the countenance of Laban, and indeed it was not favourable toward him as before. Then the Lord said to Jacob, “return to the land of your fathers and to your family, and I will be with you”. So Jacob sent and called Rachel and Leah to the field, to his flock, and said to them, “I see your father’s countenance, that it is not favourable toward me as before; but the God of my father has been with me. And you know that with all my might I have served your father.
I really believe you are enjoying this series of teachings on succeeding at whatever you do. I know that these messages are designed by God to enable you to become what he has ordained for you as per your destiny. This is why I am so excited about them, for I know that things won’t be the same again in Jesus name, amen. I can see you turning a new leaf in your vocational and professional life too. I see his Grace resting mightily on you for greater Exploits. So far by his Grace, I have shared five major principles that will make succeeding at whatever you do with you. However today by his Grace, I will be sharing another important key with you. So without much ado, let’s examine this principle right now.
KEYS TO SUCCEEDING AT WHAT YOU:
6. Profiting from your failures and setbacks. This is another important key in succeeding at whatever you do. You need to know that failure is part of Success. In fact, failures or setbacks can help you to succeed if you have the right attitude. I have discovered that those who learn from their failures or mistakes stand a better chance of succeeding than those who don’t. If you also remember while you were growing up when you wanted to walk you fall several times before you mastered the art of walking. The same is true of when you wanted to speak in fact, you were stammering or stuttering in the beginning but in spite of your earlier failures because you persisted you were able to speak fluently. This is the same principle that you need to apply to things you want to succeed at. When you can do this successfully, it will become easier for you to succeed at whatever you may be doing.
So my dear brothers and sisters, how do you see failure? As a situation or a Person! How does Failure help you to Succeed? At this juncture, I like to share some insights with you as per how failure can help you to succeed:
– By learning from your errors or failures. Do you know that you become wiser and even better when you profit from your setbacks (1Chro.15v13).
– By giving you the correct perspective about Life. This is a very important lesson for all of us to learn. At times, people have the wrong kind of mentality about life but by going through stuff, you gain a new & better understanding of life (Jb.42v5).
– By giving you the Right perspective on Failure. Some people see failure from the wrong point of view i.e. they see it as an enemy instead of a friend. You must begin to see failure as part of the success or something that is temporary. It’s not a death sentence or your final bus stop. There will still be life after failure and your star will shine once again (2Cor.4v18).
– By making you a far better and stronger person. This is one of the positive sides of failure when you have the right mentality. I want you to know that what the enemy meant for your downfall, God will use to lift you up (Gen.50v20).
– By learning the Ropes i.e. failure helps you to learn how things are done. Before any product is made, there is a process it must pass through. In the same vein, there is a pathway to the Palace or your place of Enthronement. You can ask Joseph about this, he understood better when he got to Egypt. My dear reader, you can’t boycott the process, you have to pass through it in order to get to your destination. So hold on my dearly beloved ones, your waiting shall not be in vain (Heb.3v14).
I believe that you can now see why it’s important to profit from our failures if we are really going to succeed at whatever we do. I pray for you today that the grace to profit wisely from failures will be activated in your life, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, help me to learn the valuable lessons from my failures so that I can become the kind of person you designed me to be in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: Glory to God, it’s a new season for me. I receive Grace to profit wisely from my struggles and failures. I will not allow my challenges to define me rather I will allow my challenges to make me a better and stronger person. Failure is not the end of life rather it’s the beginning of something newer and better for me by the grace and mercy of Jesus, my failures are becoming the stepping stones to my success in life in Jesus name, amen.
