Proverbs24verse10: ‘If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.’

You need strength to run and win in the race of life and destiny. So how prepared are you for this year’s journey? How ready are you for the race? Everyone runs in a race but not everyone wins. This is why the Great Apostle Paul encourages us to run with the objective of winning (1Cor9v24). How strong are you for the race? It’s your strength that determines how far or fast you can go. This is why you need to pay attention to your strength and by strength, I mean the following i.e. stamina, capacity and depth. Those who will travel fast, better, well and far this year are the strong ones. 2Tim2v1. So you need to fortify yourself with strength for the journey. I am sure you are wondering why you should do this! Yes, you need strength for the journey because of the following reasons:

1. So that you won’t fall apart. I.e. crumble. Some start well but crumble along the way. May this not be your portion in Jesus name, amen. Jn6v66-67.

2. So that you won’t fizzle out. Some also start the race well but they disappear or lose steam along the way.

3. So that you won’t lag behind. If you don’t want to be left behind, you need to fortify yourself for the race of life and destiny.

4. So that you won’t be a castaway. There is nothing as disappointing as being disqualified from the race of life. This is why you also need strength for the journey. 1Cor9v27.

5. So that you won’t be ridiculed or ignored. One way to prevent this is to get yourself fortified with his strength. Gal5v7.

6. So that you can finish well. It is not everyone who starts the race who manages to finish well, but it takes strength in order to finish well. Heb12v2.

My dear friends, I believe that you can see some of the reasons why you need to fortify yourself with strength for this year’s race. See you tomorrow for the continuation of this series. Cheers!
