Stop Worrying 2

Philippians 4verse6-7 ‘Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God V7-And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

You are welcome to our discussion on this important matter of not worrying. In our last lesson, I established that your heavenly father would want you to be without worry or anxiety. That is his will for you as his child. And even beyond this, he wants the best for you. This is why he wants you to steer clear of any worry or anxiety. From the natural standpoint of view, this may look impossible, but Glory be to God; he has not left you and me without a way of escape. 1Cor10v13
However, my focus in today’s lesson will be on why you should not worry. Are there reasons why God says you should not worry? Yes, my dear brothers and sisters, there are enough reasons why you should not worry. And without wasting time, I will like to share some of these reasons with you.
REASONS NOT TO WORRY:

1. Because God has shown you what to do with your worries. It’s very clear from God’s word what he expects you to do with regard to your anxieties and cares. One of the clear instructions of God as to how to handle your worries is to cast them on him. So are you casting your cares on the lord, or are you bearing your worries? My dear reader, it’s far better to cast your cares on him than carry it yourself because Jehovah is your burden bearer. So instead of allowing your worries to weigh you down, put them on the Lord and leave them there. 1Pet5v7: Ps55v22. If God has told you what to do about your worries, why are you not following His instructions?

2. Because God’s promises cover your entire life. There is no part of your life that God does not have fully covered and insured. This also includes your past, today and even tomorrow. Since God’s grace covers every area of your life, why are you worrying yourself to death? There is nothing that you are currently going through now that His grace can’t handle or take care of. So, my dear reader, you have nothing to worry about because his promises and provisions cover every area of your life. So what is that thing that is troubling your mind? What is weighing you down? It’s time to stop worrying because you are covered by his promises. 2Cor9v8: 2Pet1v3-4. This is good news that should cheer you up. So it’s time for you to stop worrying about your life, future, or whatever because you are fully covered by the Almighty God. So if I were you, I would start rejoicing now!

Prayer for Today: Thank you, heavenly father, for opening my eyes of understanding to the truths of your word! I declare from today that I have no more part or portion with worry in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: By virtue of my discovery today, I refuse to allow worry or anxiety to dominate my life. I walk in the liberty that I have in Christ Jesus from today. Glory be to God because I step into a new dimension of freedom from this hour! Hallelujah, be to his name!
