1Thess.5v17: Pray without ceasing.

Staying Prayerful is one of the most important things you can do as a child of God. This is especially true because of the days that we live in. This is why I believe God’s word admonishes us to pray without ceasing, as you can see in (1Thess.5v17). Staying Prayerful is not a religious exercise but something that helps you to wage your spiritual battles successfully. This is why you ought to take this Admonition very seriously. My dear reader, do you want to know why is prayer this important? I will tell you some reasons why this is so:

– Because it keeps you alert spiritually. Prayer keeps you on your toes spiritually speaking and also makes you sensitive spiritually (1Pet.5v8; Matt.13v25).

– Because it helps you to give birth to the promises of God. I am sure there are a lot of God’s promises towards you. Prayer will help you bring those promises to pass or fruition. This is why you need to take your prayer life seriously (Acts 1v14: 2v1-4).

So what does it mean to be prayerful? First, it’s to maintain close fellowship and communion with God. It’s having the attitude and disposition of prayer.

So then, how can someone stay Prayerful? You can Stay Prayerful by:

1. Praying Regularly, i.e. consistently. How often do you pray? You need to make prayer an integral part of your life and Operations. Dear reader, praying regularly will help you to stay Prayerful (Acts 6v4).

2. Pray at appointed Times i.e. specific times. One way you can do this is by having a specific time of prayer. This will help to stay Prayerful. For whatever is not specific won’t be dynamic (Acts 3v1).

3. Pray as the spirit leads you. At times, the spirit will lay it on your heart to pray; kindly endeavour to do this. In fact, at times, you might even have the burden to pray or pray with fasting too. It’s important you yield to his leading and by so doing, you will be staying prayerful (Eph.6v18; Rom.8v14).

4. Praying in the Spirit. This is praying in tongues or praying with the help of the spirit in another language. Dearly Beloved, this is one of the most profitable ways of praying because it opens you up to the Treasure House of God’s grace and mercy. So make sure you pray in the spirit often and more (1Cor.14v2, 18: Jud.1v20).

So dearly beloved Saints, don’t allow this wonderful opportunity of blossoming to pass you by. Stay Prayerful by all means. May his Blessings always abound towards you in Jesus name, amen.
