Soul Winning Made Easy 3

Pro. 11 v 30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.

Soul-winning should not be a burden but a blessing. It should not be difficult but something that is easy. You ought to find pleasure and bliss in winning souls. This is what this series of lessons is all about. It’s time to overcome all the myths and misconceptions about winning souls. What can make soul -winning easy? I have shared 2 of these secrets with you in our last lesson. Today by His grace, I’ll share 2 other powerful weapons in making soul-winning easy.

Things that make soul- winning easy:

3. Develop a burden for the lost. What do I mean by this? I mean be passionate and caring enough to see the lost come to the saving knowledge of Jesus. It is because we are not compassionate enough for the lost, this is why soul-winning looks like a herculean task. However, when you truly care about someone or something, you will be compelled to act. How then can you develop a burden for the lost? The commonest way to do this is by praying for the salvation of the lost and the more you pray for something, the greater the burden you have for that thing. So, my dear reader, are you ready to develop a burden for the unsaved? I guess your answer is yes. It’s time to start interceding for the lost (Rom.9v1-2).

4. Maximize every golden opportunity to win souls. Opportunities come and go; this is why we need to make hay while the sun shines. We are surrounded by countless opportunities to win souls, but the problem at times is that we don’t see or spot these opportunities. Can you see the opportunities of winning souls around you? If not, you need to ask God to open your eyes in spotting opportunities. What are some of the opportunities of winning souls that are around us? These opportunities include birthdays, parties, concerts, medical/school outreaches, funeral/wedding programs to mention just a few. Can you think of any other opportunity to win souls around you? I guess your answer is a yes; so it’s time to go after such. It’s time to be an effective soul-winner. It’s time to be a blessing (Eph.5v16).
