Pro.11 v 30: The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, and he who wins souls is wise.
According to (Pro.11v30), a person who wins souls is wise, and winning souls is part of the fruits that you need to bear as a believer. Why then do many people struggle with soul -winning? There are several reasons for this such as fear, lack of experience, ignorance et cetera. But in spite of these reasons, the truth remains that God has equipped us to be soul-winners. Therefore, there is nothing to fret or worry about anymore (Acts 1v8). Since God has equipped you with what you need to win souls, soul-winning shouldn’t be a burden!
Winning souls should not be difficult or hard for you and I because:
- God won’t ask you to do something you can’t do. He won’t put more on you than you can bear. He has given the resources for the assignment, which means the work is doable and should not be difficult.
- God won’t send you on an errand without backing you up. For every assignment, there is enough equipping and empowerment for the task. So, you need not worry or fear (Mk.16v15-20).
- Soul-winning is an art that can be developed or cultivated. You can learn any art if you put your mind to it and are ready to practice it over and over again.
- You are not the one that will save or convert the lost/unsaved; that is God’s part. Your part is to be a vessel in His hands. You are the channel and He is the flow. Why not start trusting Him to do what He only can do (Matt.1v21).
My dear reader, I hope you can now see the reasons why soul winning shouldn’t be a burden or a struggle. Winning souls can become easy if you are willing to cooperate with the Lord. Are you willing to play your part?
