Resting in God 4

Psalm 37verse7-8. ‘Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. V8-Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil’.

We are admonished to rest in God in our text scripture (Psalm 37v7-8) and as you can see, those who are resting in God are not supposed to be fretful because both of them can’t work together. It’s either you choose one or the other. So choose to rest in God and say no to anxieties, worries, or any agitations of whatsoever form. It’s possible to have rest in the midst of trouble. This is what your heavenly father can do for you, so there is no reason you should settle for anything lower. So make your mind today that you won’t settle for anything lesser than the rest of God. So how can you experience the rest of God? This is what I have been sharing with you for some time now and today, by His grace, I will be sharing two more ways with you as to how to enter His rest. If you are ready for this, so here we go!

HOW TO REST IN GOD

5. By resting in his directives to you. Resting in God means having confidence in your instructions or directives. It means to obey or comply with his directives to you. Why should you comply with his instructions? Because God would never lead you astray. Those who rest in God also have confidence in what he says to them. They are assured and confident of his instructions or commands to them. This is how you rest in God by doing whatever he wants you to do. Knowing fully well that his instructions will always lead to your uplifting and rising in life. This was what Apostle Paul demonstrated in the voyage to Italy when it came under attack. He rested in what God told him, and this was why he came out victorious. Acts27v25.You, too, can come into the place of power and authority as you start resting in God from today.

6. By resting in his grace. Resting in the Lord is to rest in his grace or power. It means to have confidence in his grace to get the job done. Those who rest in God also have confidence in his grace. They are not trusting in their performance but in His ability. 2cor12v9. Precious child of God, this is the dimension God wants you to enter into. When you start living like this, you will see that his grace will be more than enough for you. I see you entering into this dimension of rest from today. If you believe this, say a big AMEN.

Prayer for Today: Lord, I embrace the blessings of the rested life in Christ. Thank you, blessed comforter!

CONFESSION: I say yes to resting in God and no to every form of agitations and strife. I choose to rest in my God. I choose to rest in His directives and grace. Therefore, I come into the fullness of the rested life in Jesus name, amen.
