Reasons Why You Should Be Thankful 1

Psalm 92verse1-3 ‘V1-It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: V2-To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, V3-Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with a solemn sound.’

Are there any reasons why someone should be grateful? Yes, there are multiple reasons why you should be thankful as a believer and in this series of teachings, I will share some of the important reasons why you need to be grateful. I am sure that you will be enjoying this series a lot because God will be visiting your life of thanksgiving. At the end of the day, a new you will emerge and break forth! So why should you be thankful to God? What purpose will it serve or what good will it accomplish for you? There are a number of good reasons why you should be thankful and without much Ado I like us to examine some of them right away.
REASONS TO BE THANKFUL:

1. Because of his love for you. You need to be thankful because of having a caring and loving heavenly father. And your heavenly father is a father like no other father. This is why you should be thankful. His love for you never fails, it’s second to none. His love never disappoints and because he loves you like no other, this is why you need to be thankful. 1Jn3v1; Jer31v3. My dear reader, it will take the whole of eternity for you to understand and comprehend the love of God towards you. So precious saints, this is why you should be grateful! Say this out loud, “Lord am grateful because of your love for me”. Glory!

2. Because God is still faithful. He is God and not a man! You ought to be grateful because God is reliable and dependable! He never changes! In spite of your shortcomings, weaknesses, frailties and disappointments etc. God is still faithful to you! Can you really comprehend this precious Child of God! This is a major reason for being grateful that you should never take for granted.1Thess5v24; 1Cor1v9

3. Because this is the Will of God for you in Christ Jesus. As a believer in Christ, this is how God wants you to be. He wants you thankful and not complaining. He wants you grateful and not grumbling. This is how God wants you to respond to life and its challenges. So my dear brothers and sisters, to what extent are you fulfilling this will of God? Col2v6-7
From what we have discussed today, it is clear that there are enough reasons for you, as a child of God, to be grateful! So it’s time for his praises to go up in your Tabernacle!
