(Isaiah 41:10: Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand)

At times, we often feel that as human beings, we have certain reasons to fear. However, a closer look at the word of God makes us understand that there is no legitimate reason to fear as a believer. This is what God was also trying to communicate through his servant Isaiah in (Isaiah 41:10). This promise gives us certain reasons not to fear as you will be seeing in a couple of minutes.

Why does God want me to be fearless and not fearful? He wants you not to fear because:

a. He is with you. Notice in Isaiah 41:10, He promised to be with you. He didn’t say He is going to be with you but that He is with you now and always. That’s the sense in which God is talking here. Glory be to God; you can rely on His promise because He is too faithful to fail. Know that you are never alone in any given circumstance for the Lord is with you; so no need to fear! The fact that God is silent does not mean He is not there. The fact that you are not “feeling” God does not mean He is not there. The fact that you are not seeing God does not mean He is not there. I want you to know that regardless of how you feel or the circumstance of life, He is with you. So, say ‘no’ to every form of fear from today (Psalm 46:1).

b. He is your God. You have no reason to fear because Jehovah is your God. This is what He says in Isaiah 41:10. The problem we have is that we don’t fully realize the kind of God that we serve, otherwise you will not fear! The word of God in Isaiah 41:10 is the word Elohim in the Hebrew language, and it means the Supreme One or Mighty One. It’s one of the most frequently used names for God in the Bible. This is who your God is; He is the true and living God and is the Most Powerful God. Glory, there is no God like your God (Psalm 27:1; Isaiah 44:6). I pray for you today that you might have a true revelation of who God is. When this happens, there will be no reason for you to fear because there is nothing that is bigger than God. Therefore, say this out loud, ‘I will not fear because Jehovah is my God!’

Prayer for Today: Father God, I thank you for giving me reasons not to fear. Because you are forever with me and you are my God, I say ‘no’ to fear in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I say ‘no’ to fear because I am never alone. The Lord is ever with me; therefore, I have no reason to fear and he is bigger than all that troubles me. Because He is also my God, I will not fear for He is capable of handling anything that comes my way. Therefore, I renounce fear and I rebel against every domination of fear in my life. I walk in the liberty that Christ has procured for me. Glory be to God, it’s a new dawn for me.
