Genesis 12:1-4 Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.
It doesn’t matter how great your dreams are, they won’t see the light of day if you don’t go after them. This is why you need to pursue your dreams. This is what Father Abraham did in our text in Genesis 12 verses 1 – 4. He did not only have a great dream from God, but he took steps to accomplish it. This is why he ultimately became the Father of many nations. So, what is your dream? It’s time to pursue it. There is no future for those who don’t pursue their dreams. Hab2 v 2 – 3. Your dreams are the bridges to the future, so my dear reader, go after them no matter how hard or difficult it is. You will ultimately arrive at your destination if you faint not. What does it take to pursue a dream? How should someone go after their dreams? This is what I intend to share with you, so here we go:
1. Start from where you are.
Every dream started from somewhere and by someone. Don’t despise the days of little beginnings. Just start from where you are. John Cadbury founded Cadbury before he later developed the business with his brother, Benjamin, and later his sons. If he didn’t start, there would never be anything called Cadbury. My dear brothers and sisters, make sure you just start. Jam 2 v 26
2. Start with what you have.
Never ever despise what you have, no matter how small it looks now because it’s little things that become great things. Ps 22 v 30. That little thing can become great if you put it to work. Other things will come into place as you start with what you have. I know this from my experience of starting the dreams God put into my heart. You won’t be put to shame if you will only have the courage to start with what is in your hands. My dear reader, what you have in your hands is a Miracle if you will put it to work and also into God’s hands. So, what are you waiting for? Jn 6 v 9,11,14
3. Start small.
This is what it takes to pursue your dreams. Start small because every greatness can be traced to humble beginnings. So, my dear reader, don’t ever be afraid of starting that Dream in a small way. Your dream is like a seed planted in the right soil that has the potential to grow if you will fertilize and water it. Isa 60 v 22. I want you to remember that every greatness started in a little way. Cosharis Motors, founded by Nduka Kalu, started in a small way before it grew to the level it is now. So, don’t stop working on your own dream; it will get bigger and greater if you don’t give up.

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, help me in playing my role in accomplishing my dreams in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I will pursue my dreams. I will go after the dreams of my heart. I will not be negligent or lazy about it. I will give it my best shot and as I do so, my dreams will see the light of day. Glory be to God, for I will not be ashamed.
