1kings3verse3-12 ‘V3 And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places. V4 And the king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there; for that was the great high place: a thousand burnt offerings did Solomon offer upon that altar. V5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night: and God said, Ask what I shall give thee. V6 And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. V7 And now, O LORD my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father: and I am but a little child: I know not how to go out or come in. v8 And thy servant is in the midst of thy people which thou hast chosen, a great people, that cannot be numbered nor counted for multitude. V9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? V10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. V11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life; neither hast asked riches for thyself, nor hast asked the life of thine enemies; but hast asked for thyself understanding to discern judgment; v12 Behold, I have done according to thy words: lo, I have given thee a wise and an understanding heart; so that there was none like thee before thee, neither after thee shall any arise like unto thee.’
You can provoke divine encounters. You can experience God in a special way and manner. It doesn’t matter where you are now; God can visit you and turn things around for you if you will meet his conditions. And his conditions are not grievous! Whatever God is asking of you is not something that you can’t do. 1Jn5v3. When you read and study our text scripture (1Ki3v3-12), you will see that what made king Solomon experience a divine encounter is something you can replicate in your life. This is what I have been sharing with you so far in this series of teachings and today, by his grace, I will proceed further by sharing more insights with you that will help you to provoke divine encounters in whatever area of life.
How to Provoke Divine Encounters
3. Through sacrificial giving. Your seed can provoke a supernatural encounter for you. This is what happened to Solomon in Gibeon when he came to worship God. (1ki3v4-5). Through his sacrificial seed, he provoked a supernatural encounter. You, too, can do the same as led by God and since God is no respecter of persons but a respecter of faith, he will visit you in the area that you need it in Jesus name, amen. I want you to know that this is not a way of buying a miracle but simply a means of provoking divine help as we see in the scriptures. Ps126v5-6.
So what is a sacrificial seed? It’s giving:
-out of your lack or need. Jn6v9
-that will cost you something.1Chro21v24
-that is above what you normally give. Pro18v16
-like you have never given before. Gen22v1
My dear reader, since you know what a sacrificial seed is all about, are you ready to follow his instructions to you?
4. By being sensitive to the leading of the spirit. If you will really experience divine encounters, you must be ready to obey God’s leading to you. So how obedient are you to his leading? When God speaks to you, do you obey quickly or hesitate? Our obedience to his instructions should be total and complete. It should be non-negotiable and from our hearts. This is how you ought to obey God if you will really provoke divine encounters. Acts 13v22: Lk5v1-6.
So my dear brothers and sisters, how would you describe your obedience to the lord? The answer you give to this question will determine whether you will succeed in provoking divine encounters or not.
So my admonition to you today is to make up your mind to obey the lord all the way!

Prayer for Today: Precious Holy Spirit, I desire a fresh visitation upon my life from today in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: This is my season of visitation. My God will not pass me by. My life is set for a transformation and lifting. My hour of turnaround is here. Thank you, Jesus, for visiting me in a special way!
