Psalm 37verse18-19 ‘The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. V19-They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.’
You are welcome back to our discussion on prospering in challenging times. God certainly has a remedy or solution to prospering in a time of recession or shortages as we live in now. This is why he is also sending this series of lessons your way. One thing that knowledge does is to illuminate and impact faith. So therefore, I am confident that your faith shall be built up and it will also see you through this season in Jesus name, amen. I trust that you were blessed by what I shared with you in our last lesson.
Today by his grace, I will be sharing another important weapon for prospering in this season. So if you are ready for this, let’s examine this principle right now.
HOW TO PROSPER IN FAMINE
Take your walk with God seriously. Your walk with God is one of the determinants of your prosperity, especially in a tough time as we live today. So how would you rate your walk with God? Are you close or far away from him? How strong are your ties with God? The stronger it is, the better for you! Challenging times are not the time to be far away from God but they are certainly the times of drawing closer to him. Jam4v8: Jb22v21-28.
My dearly beloved ones, the extent to which you know God will be the extent to which you can access his help and assistance. So my admonition to you is to let nothing separate you from God. Don’t allow anyone or the circumstances of life to affect your walk with God. Say no to compromise as Daniel and Joseph did in their time. Don’t ever go to a point in your life where God is no longer relevant and important. When you do this, you are setting yourself up for a beautiful and prosperous life. So how can someone strengthen their walk with God? You can do this by:
-Take your personal devotion with God seriously. This simply means that your time of prayers, the study of his word, worship etc. should be taken seriously. Mk1v35. So how strong is your devotion to God?
-Take your time of fellowshipping with others seriously. Don’t forsake the assembling of one another. There is a place for attending services, fellowshipping with other believers etc. These things will strengthen your faith and make you a far better believer. Acts2v42,46
So what are the things that are taking you away from his presence? Whatever they may be, it’s time to return back home. It’s time to renew your walk with God. May today usher you into the fullness of such an encounter in Jesus name, amen.
