1Kings17verse1-6. ‘And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word. V2. And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying, v3. Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. V4. And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there. V5. So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan. V6. And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

These are challenging times, as we can see from what is happening all around us, but God has not left his people without a way out. So, you are not without any hope because God has you in mind. You will understand what I just said now by the time you read the story in our text scripture (1ki17v1-6). God came through for Elijah in times of crisis or famine. He wants to do the same also for you because you are his child. My dear friends, it’s possible for you to prosper in such a time as we live in. Your head can be above the waters. You can flourish where others are complaining. This is what we are about to discover through this series of teachings, but first of all, I want you to understand some basic truths about Prospering in difficult times. These truths will put you in a better position to excel in a time of famine. So, what are these truths?

1. God has a master plan to prosper you in difficult times.

How do we know this? We know this from the testimonies of the scriptures. When you study God’s Word, you will see plenty of evidence of how God came through for his People. Dearly beloved, you need to know that what he has done for others, he is able to do much more if you will only believe and cooperate with him. Gen26v1,5,12-14,16

2. There is an anointing to prosper in difficult times.

Yes, I have discovered from the word of God that there is an anointing to excel in a time of difficulty. This same anointing was at work in the lives of covenant people of old and that anointing is still very much alive and active. That same anointing will put you over in this season. The anointing is no respecter of persons but a respecter of those who believes in it. My dearly beloved ones, this same anointing will enable you to prosper in this season in Jesus name, amen. 1Sam18v5,14,30

3. God’s covenant covers you in a time of difficulty.

His covenant is your security and insurance in a time of famine. This is why I am convinced that this covenant will speak for you in this season and you will not go under. Since his covenant is reliable, you, too, will not fail or falter. If you are receiving this, say a big AMEN. Heb8v6

So Precious Child of God, you have no reason to worry or fret about this season because your heavenly father has your back. Therefore, you will survive and succeed in this season in Jesus name, amen.
