2Ki.6v25: And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.

7v1, 16: Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord; ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria”. Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord.

You can prosper in a time of crisis as a covenant child of God for this is your heritage in Christ. No matter the crisis that may be in our world, your heavenly father has you covered and insured. This is what God did for the nation of Israel in 2Ki.6v25. He also did the same for several other covenant people. This is why I am persuaded that you too will succeed in this famine. I have been sharing with you certain tools and weapons that will enable you to win this warfare and today I will be talking about another secret weapon that you need to deploy. So here we go!

WAYS OF PROSPERING IN A TIME OF CRISIS:

  1. Be mindful of your praise. Don’t ever allow the enemy to take away your praise even in a time of crisis because your praise is your weapon of victory. Crisis times are not the time to shut your mouth but to sing His praise. It’s not the time to murmur but to make melody to God. It’s not the time to complain but to compliment. It’s not the time to grumble but a time to be grateful. I know praising God in a crisis does not make sense naturally but it produces signs and wonders! (Hab.3v17-19). Anyone can praise God when the going is good but it takes faith to praise God in a time of crisis. This is what God expects you to do in this season. So start praising God from today:
    * By faith. Start it out by faith (Rom.4v20).
    * Regardless of how you feel or your circumstances. Stop waiting for your circumstances to change before praising God. Start praising now (2Cor.6v10).
    * By the action of your will/volition. Just decide to be joyful and praiseful. Make your mind to rejoice. Let praise be your decision (Ps.104v33).

My dear reader, this is how God wants you to praise him in a time of crisis. This is how to live. This should be your creed and motto. So, make up your mind to praise in your darkest and lowest hour. Make up your mind to sing His praise even when it doesn’t make sense. God’s ways are higher and better than man’s way! Don’t allow anything to steal or take away your praise. Start praising your way to your victory. Start praising your way to your lifting. I can sense that something great is about to take place as you engage the weapon of praise.  May you experience the wonders of His praise in your season of crisis! (Ps.67v5-7).

CONFESSION: The Lord is my strength and my song. His praise will also be continually in my mouth. I am lifted up on high by His praise. I am lifted above my struggles, pains, and trouble. I am elevated to new levels and dimensions. Through my praise, my God subdues my enemies and also fights my battles. Things are turning around in my favour. Everything is working together for my good. Joy and overlapping testimonies are my portion in this season for His weapon of praise is making all the difference in my life and endeavours in Jesus name, amen.
