2Ki.6v25: And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.

7v1, 16: Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord; ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria”. Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord.

Dearly beloved, I trust that you are enjoying this series on how to prosper in a time of crisis. There are ways that God intends to prosper His people in any crisis and I want you to know that your heavenly father is fully committed to your well-being in a time of crisis. You are never alone. He is too faithful to fail you so cheer up my dear reader for this situation will soon pass and your glory and beauty will be here to stay. I have shared with you 4 prevailing weapons that will enable you prosper in such a time like this and today by His grace, we shall be looking at another secret weapon that you need to deploy in this season.

WAYS OF PROSPERING IN A TIME OF CRISIS:

  1. Be mindful of what God is saying to you. God has some things to say to you in a time of crisis. Now the key question is, “do you know what He is saying to you”? (Rev.3v6, 13, 22). I want you to know that your ability to discern what God has to say to you in this season will determine whether you will end up on top or beneath! My dear reader, I want you to pay close attention to the following truths:
  2. God has some things to say to you in this time of crisis and it’s your responsibility to find it out. God is in the business of speaking and instructing His children in any time of crisis. This is a constant truth that we see throughout the Bible. This is why your case too won’t be an exception. Therefore, make it a point of duty to find out what God has to say to you in whatsoever kind of challenge you may be going through. This is absolutely crucial to your victory and triumph in the crisis of life (2Ki.7v1-2; Job 29v16).
  3. What God has to say to you may not be what He is saying to me and vice-versa. What I simply mean is that God may not be saying the same thing to everyone because our challenges and destinies differ! But make sure you pay attention to whatever He says to you (Gen.26v1-6).
  4. You need the courage to act on whatever instruction/directive God is saying or giving to you. God’s instructions are always time-bound. This is why you need to make hay while the sun shines. Precious child of God, you need to act on time on the directives of God to you, so that the forces of the spirit and nature can work in your favour. It’s time to follow His leading (Num.13v30, 14v6-9, 28, 41-45).

My dear reader, I hope you can see why you need God’s direction and instructions in the time of crisis of life. His instructions are what will pave the way for your distinction and glory. I see you scaling through the odds and difficulties of life as you adhere to His instructions.
