2Ki.6v25: And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.
7v1, 16: Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord; ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria”. Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord.
God knows how to prosper you in a time of crisis but if you will truly experience this, you must be willing to follow his prescribed ways of doing this. This has been the subject of our discussion for some time now and I trust you are being blessed by the truths we have been considering. The same God that prospered Israel in the time of crisis is still alive today. This is why he will cause you too to excel in this season of crisis in Jesus name, amen.
Today by the special grace of God, I will be sharing another secret weapon to prospering in such a time like this. Here we go!
WAYS OF PROSPERING IN A TIME OF CRISIS:
- Be mindful of what you say or are saying. This is another powerful weapon of succeeding in a time of crisis. What have you been saying or what have you said with regards to this season? Have you spoken positively or negatively? What you are saying or what you have said matters a lot for it either determines your victory or defeat, success or failure or your uplifting or downfall (Pro.6v2: 18vv21). This is why you need to pay attention to whatever you have been saying or have said. Why is this so critically important? It is important because what you say:
* Is what you will possess or get (Pro.13v2).
* Is what will come to pass (Pro.12v6).
* Is who you will become (Pro.13v3).
So, stop speaking negatively! Stop speaking your fears, doubts, death, worries, or uncertainties et cetera. instead speak faith, speak life, speak your desires and expectation, speak victory and success, speak the word of God and speak it boldly and authoritatively (Rom.4v17). Be like Caleb and Joshua. What they said brought them through the time of crisis. Start speaking the right words. Start speaking consistently. Start speaking to yourself and into your situation (Num.13v30: 14v28). My dear reader, your words are much more powerful than you think and I want you to also remember that a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Hence, open your mouth and begin to make powerful declarations and decrees about what you want to experience in this season. As you say it, this will become your experience and reality in Jesus name, amen. I can see things turning around in your favour as you use your mouth wisely as a weapon of prospering in this season.
Other Scriptural References: (1Ki.17v12-13; Mk.5v28; 2Ki.7v2; Pro.14v3: 11v9, 11; Rom.4v17: 10v6; Mk.11v23).
Prayer for Today: Lord, help me to be mindful of what I say or have been saying so as to prosper in this season in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: My mouth is my source of deliverance and victory. I have what I say by faith. My confession is my living reality and experience. My mouth puts me over and not beneath in Jesus name, amen. As I cooperate with His spirit and word, my confession is bringing me into my wealthy place and also changing my world for the better.
