2Ki.6v25: And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.

7v1, 16: Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord; ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria”. Then the people went out and plundered the tents of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord.

Dearly beloved ones, your heavenly father has a glorious plan to prosper you in a time of crisis. He has never failed to lift His people in difficult times and your case won’t be an exception. Throughout scriptures and history, God has always made a way for His people in troubled times; so, cheer up, for you will surely succeed in this crisis. I want you to remember that He is still the same God. The same way He brought the nation of Israel out of the famine in (2Ki.6v25), He will do so for you too in this season. I have been sharing with you some basic truths you need to pay attention to if you will truly prosper in this crisis. Today by His grace, I will be sharing 2 other truths in this regard.

TRUTHS TO PAY ATTENTION TO:

  1. You must have a different mind-set. This is vitally important for you to do if you really want to succeed in this crisis. You need to have a different mentality. What do I mean by this? I mean you need to embrace a new, positive, better, and right mind-set. You need to change the way you see or look at things, most especially, this crisis. Are you seeing it as an opportunity or difficulty? Are you seeing it as a promoter or a demoter? It all depends on your perspective or mind-set and your perspective will determine your position or placement in life. My dear reader, if you want to be promoted in this season, you need to change the way you look at things. You can’t be a victor with a victim mentality. You can’t be a champion with a coward mentality. It’s time to let go of every unproductive and idle mindset that is getting in your way of prospering in this crisis. I believe you are ready to take action today! (Num.13v30-33).
  2. You must be ready to learn. To prosper in this crisis, you must be ready to learn and learning involves relearning, unlearning, and learning new things. Dear friends, I want you to know that continuous learning is the minimum requirement for success in any field of endeavor. My dear reader, are you ready to:

    * Learn God’s ways and methods (Isa.55v8-9).
    * Learn from your failures/setbacks/mistakes.
    * Learn from those who have gone ahead of you (Rom.15v4).
    * Learn new skills/better ways of doing things.
    * Learn from the most unlikely sources/avenues (2Ki.7v10).

The answers you give the questions will determine to a great extent if you will excel as a learner. But make no mistake about this truth, your capacity to learn will greatly position you for greater relevance in this season. It’s time to sharpen your learning ability. You never graduate out of the school of life. Be committed to learning, so that you can prosper in this time of crisis (Dan.1v4-5, 17-20). I see you rising as you commit yourself to increase your learning capacity in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I will prosper in this season for Jehovah is my wisdom and helper. I am connected to the source that never runs dry. His grace and wisdom are making ways for me.
