1Timothy1v12-13. ‘And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into ministry. V13 ‘Who was before a blasphemer, and a prosecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.’

It’s possible to profit from your past, no matter what kind of past you might have had. A good example is the life of the Great Apostle Paul as we can see in 1Timothy1verse12-13. Who could ever have taught that such a kind of person would be mightily used for God? The same God who helped him profit from his past is still very much alive today. He will help you move beyond your pains, struggles, hurts, and disappointments from your past. This is why he is sending his word to you today. I pray that you will truly find healing and succor in Jesus name, amen.

So how can someone recover from the negative experience of the past? How can this happen?

HOW TO PROFIT FROM YOUR PAST

1. Let go of the past. I know this may look difficult to do but it’s possible that if you don’t let go, you might not be healed. So let go of your past, so you can go forward. Release so that you can increase. My dear friends, it’s time to let go of your pains, fears, tears, failures, setbacks, hurts etc. Whatever it is, you need to let go. Lk17v32

Do you know that God has made a way for you to let go of your past? Yes, he has, and at this juncture, I like to share with you how you can accomplish this:

-Cast all your cares on the Lord. Why hold unto that care when you have a burden bearer. Allow the Lord to help you carry that burden. This is something you have to do willingly. Are you willing to let go? 1Pet5v7

-Eliminate all bitterness and hurts. Don’t allow any root of bitterness to take root in your heart. Refuse to embrace them instead, put them away from you. Eph4v31.You have the power to do this, so make good use of this Power.

Embrace forgiveness and peace. Be quick to forgive. Choose to forgive those who might have offended you and, more importantly, forgive yourself. Choose forgiveness over bitterness and resentment. When you do this, you set yourself up for a life of wholeness and healing. Isa44v22: Lk23v34

My Dearly Beloved Ones, this is how to profit from your past. Make up your mind that you will let go of your past to move into the glorious future ahead. Are you willing to do so today?
