1Timothy1v12-13. ‘And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into ministry. V13 ‘Who was before a blasphemer, and a prosecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.’

Can someone profit from their past? The answer is a definite Yes. It’s possible to profit from your past. A clear example of such is the life of Apostle Paul (as you can see from our text scripture-1tim1v12-13). His life was such a Mess until Christ came into the equation. God helped him to move from his horrible past into a glorious future. The same God that did it for him can also do it for you. Jb42v12. My dear friends, it’s possible:

-To turn your losses into gains

-To convert your tears to triumph

-To turn your setbacks into appointments

-To turn your pains into power

-To turn your bitter experiences into better experiences

But this is only possible if you allow him because God won’t force anything on you. So, my dear reader, you can be free from your past. You can recover and even become better. This series of teachings will focus on this, and I believe that your hour of victory is here. So, I want you to know that whatever your past may represent (i.e., failure, abuse, mistakes, frustrations, bitterness, rejection, losses etc.), you can move past them. You can profit from your past. May this be a living reality in your life.

However, before I begin to share what it takes to recover from your past, I would like us to look at some of the consequences of not profiting from your past. Refusing to move away from your past has consequences, which you need to afford at all costs. So, what are those consequences?

1. You keep repeating the same mistakes and errors. Whenever someone fails to profit from their past, they keep falling or tripping; they keep going over the same issues repeatedly. This shows that they are yet to move past the negative experiences they have had. Those who keep repeating the same mistakes never grow. Gal5v1

2. They remain where they are. They are neither going forward nor backward. It’s similar to becoming stagnant or redundant. And this is never God’s will for your life. So, it’s time to profit from your past. Deut2v3

3. Your Life will become Boring. Frustration also begins to set in once a man cannot move beyond his past. This is what the enemy wants to do but you must not allow him. This is why you need to profit from your past. May today mark the beginning of your recovery in Jesus name, Amen.Jn10v10

My Dearly Beloved Ones, I believe you can see from what I shared with you today that nothing can be compared to living free from your past. There is a Better life beyond your past if only you will allow God to mend and put you back again. May today usher you into such an experience in Jesus name, Amen.
