1Chronicles 22verse5: “And David said, Solomon my son is young and inexperienced, and the house to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent, famous and glorious throughout all countries. I will now make preparation for it. So David made abundant preparations before his death.”

We cannot overemphasize the Importance of Planning for a New Year. Hence the reason why we need to pay serious attention to this Matter! Many people just wish to have a great year but it will take more than wishing to have a great Year! You have to be Intentional about it! This is why I have been sharing with you some of the key elements in preparing for a New Year! I trust that the things I have been sharing with you have been of great help and encouragement! Knowledge is nothing until you start putting it to work! I pray that you will have the courage and will to start doing so from now on! I will be sharing with you today two more essential keys to getting ready for a New Year! Let’s examine these powerful principles right away!
HOW TO PLAN FOR THE NEW YEAR?

6. Get Wisdom (Pro.4v5, 7). This is one of the most important things you need to do in getting ready for the New Year! Precious child of God, I want you to know that you really need Wisdom in getting ready for a New Year! So what is Wisdom by the Way?

  • It’s the correct application of Knowledge. Thank God for what you know but putting it to work is another thing; now, this is where Wisdom comes in (Pro.15v2). So do you know how to correctly apply what you know? When this happens, then you will need to be referred to as a wise person.
  • It’s the ability to know what to do in any given situation of life (1ki.2v9). So can you say authoritatively that you know what to do in the situations of life? But this can be your portion if you know how to tap into the power of the Anointing within you!
So this is what Wisdom really means! Therefore, getting wisdom for the New Year means knowing how to apply the knowledge you have and knowing what to do in the situations you encounter in the New Year! So how in the world can this be a Reality? It can become a Reality if:
  • You will look up to God. Look up to the anointing that’s within you (1Jn.2v20,27). Learn how to depend on the Holy Spirit for every issue of life. As you do this, God’s wisdom will be made available to you.
  • You will get wisdom from those around you. There are people that God has placed around you. They know and have what you need. You can learn from the Wisdom that’s working in their lives. Some of these people could even be your contemporaries and mates.
  • You will get Wisdom from those who know more than you. Don’t just use only the brains you have but all the brains you can borrow. Learn how to tap into the Wisdom of those who know more than you in order to get ready for the New Year. Leverage on the Wisdom of people who have been to where you are trying to go. I have benefited greatly from this kind of people over the years and it’s time for you too to do the same (Pro.13v20).

7. Make God a Senior Partner in your Planning. Is God a major partner in your Planning? Are you working with him? Does he have a say in your Planning, or are you just depending on your own wisdom? These are some of the questions you need to provide answers to if God is really a partner with you in your Planning. So make sure you carry God along in your Planning for the New Year. Don’t do anything that he does not approve. Lean on his help and support. You will not be put to shame as you do this in Jesus name, amen (Jn.15v5). So precious child of God, let God be involved in all your planning and depend on his help to succeed.

My dear brothers and sisters, I am confident that you will be in the best of position and mind with regards to planning for the New Year as you engage these principles. May the New Year be a Glorious one for you in Jesus name, amen.

I will maximise my potential and the opportunities that the New Year has to offer me.
