Luke 14verse28-30 ‘For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? V29-Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, V30-saying, this man began to build, and was not able to finish.’
The new year is gradually drawing closer. This is why it’s important for you to begin to plan for it. I have discovered that when it comes to planning for the new year, it’s either:
-You are not planning for the new year
-You leave your planning too late
-Or you plan for the year on time.
So which category do you belong to? This is why you need to cultivate the habit of planning for the new year well ahead of others. I’m sure you are wondering what the significance of planning for the new year is? Why should you take it seriously? Planning for the new year is important because:
1. God is the Master Planner. He is the grand architect of all times and you can see several examples of these around us. Look at God’s plan for creation, His redemption plan for humanity, His plan for your life, etc. So God does not do His things without planning. Why are you trying to live without planning? Gen6v14-16: Exo25v9,40
2. To boost your chances of success in the new year. If you fail to plan, that means you are planning to fail. I have discovered that planning prevents failure or gives you victory over failure. Therefore, because planning will help you succeed, this is the same reason you need to start preparing for the new year. So what plans are you pointing into place for the new year? Lk14v30
3. Because planning will give you an added advantage. Planning will give you something more and extra. So this simply means that planning is an added value to our lives. Don’t be left behind! Start taking your planning for the new year into account now. As you prepare, may the God of heaven smile on all your efforts!
