Pro.13v12: Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.

Disappointments come to us from various sources in life! It can come from government, leadership, people, business, systems, or even yourself, but the most important thing is for you to know how to deal with them. It’s practically impossible to hope for a disappointment-free life, but Glory be to God. We are not at the mercy of our discouragement! Praise God; there is a way out! So far in this series, I have shared one of the ways we ought to deal with your discouragement. And today, by his Grace, I will like to share more insights with you on how to deal with your disappointments. So if you are ready here, we go!

DEALING WITH DISAPPOINTMENTS:

2. Get the Right Perspective. Your perspective speaks of how you see things, i.e. viewpoint, mentality, or mindset. So how do you see your disappointments? Do you see it as a blessing or a Burden? It’s important for you to have the right perspective on your disappointments (Jer.1v11). So what kind of Perspective do I need to have towards my disappointments? I have a few of them here that I would like to share with you:

See your disappointments as a blessing in disguise. At times, the NOs you get in life are a blessing in disguise.

See your disappointments as God’s Appointment. A good example of this is Joseph, Esther, and Daniel, to mention just a few.

See your disappointments as not the end of your life. There is still living at the end of your disappointment, so be cheerful.

Your Disappointment does not make you a Disappointment. You need to see your disappointments as an incident and not as a Person. You are not a Disappointment in Jesus name, amen.

I hope you can see what I now mean by having the right perspective on your disappointments. May Jehovah grant you further illumination!

3. Put your Hope or Confidence in God. Let God alone be your Source and Sufficiency because he is the only one that cannot fail or disappoint. Men or Circumstances can disappoint. Systems can fail or disappoint. I have seen systems fail in time past. Take, for instance, what happened last October when Facebook, Instagram, and Whatsapp all crashed in one day! A lot of people were disappointed or worked up. But that is bound to happen because Man is limited. So one way to deal with your disappointments is to put your confidence in God Almighty. Stop trusting in the Arm of the Flesh or Man but let your hope be solely in the Lord! This is the key to real happiness and peace in this life. I encourage you to make this your decision from today. Every other thing will fail, and it’s subject to fail, but Glory be to God, He will never fail or disappoint you (Rom.5v5).

My dear brothers and sisters, it’s possible to walk in victory over your discouragement, and today ushers you into a new era of dominion in this area in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father. I receive Grace from today in walking over disappointment in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: Glory be to God; it’s a new day and dawn for me because I walk in victory over my disappointments! I see my setbacks as an opportunity to Break forth in life! I chose to see things positively and not negatively! I walk from the realm of Victory and not defeat. I see my disappointments as God’s appointment for me. Therefore, I refuse to be bitter or angry because everything is working together for my good in Jesus name, amen.
