Overcoming Barrenness 2

Luke 13verse6-9 ‘V6-He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none. V7-Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground? V8-And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: V9-And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.’

God wants you to overcome barrenness in any form or fashion in your life. He does not want you to manage or put up with barrenness. As you can see from the instructions in our text scripture (Luke13v6-9) that God would not condone barrenness forever. In the same way, you too need to renounce every form of barrenness. However, in order to be able to do this properly, you need to know what barrenness is all about. In our last lesson, I shared two dimensions of barrenness with us. Today by his grace, I will be sharing more Insights with you on this matter. So what is barrenness?

3. To miscarry, suffer loss and abortion. It also means to be deprived of, to be childless and especially robbed of children after conception. This form of barrenness has to do with an inability to carry the seed through successfully and in the name of Jesus, I declare that an end has come to this kind of barrenness in our lives. Lev26v22

4. Anything that is withholding, refraining, detaining, restraining, oppressing and shutting you up from bearing fruits. This form of barrenness oppresses and restrains someone from bearing fruits. In the name of Jesus Christ I declare that an end has come to this form of barrenness in the name of Jesus. Pro30v16. If you are connecting to this, can I hear a resounding amen?

5. To be salted or deserted. No seed germinates in this kind of ground neither does it bring forth harvest. One is unable to bear fruits because of the condition of the place and environment! My dear brothers and sisters, this is another form of barrenness that you need to stand up against! If you are willing to do so, can I hear a resounding amen? Ps107v34

6. Dryness, Dry land, Wilderness, Drought and Solitary place. This form of barrenness is when a land is devoid of water, moisture and it’s dried up. Are there areas of dryness in your life? I decree today that it’s coming to an end in Jesus name amen. Ps63v1-2. So my dear friends, say this after me, any form of dryness and deadness is terminated in my life today in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly father, I say no to every form of barrenness in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: I refuse to put up with barrenness in my life and work! Barrenness is forbidden in my life and work! I will not labour in vain nor bring forth into trouble! All my labours are blessed! Glory be to his name!
