Never Say Never

Lk. 21 v 19: “By your patience, possess your souls.”

If you will ever win and succeed in life, you must never ever give up. You need to have a persevering or enduring spirit in order to walk upon your high places in life. Nothing good ever comes easily. This is why you must keep pushing and pressing forward no matter what comes your way. Although there will be discouraging moments, you must never give up because those who will be victorious in life are those who never give up. It takes endurance to possess a higher or better life as we can see in (Lk.21v19). A closer look at our text scripture in some other translations brings home the message:

By your endurance, you will win your souls- Int’l Standard Version.

By your endurance, you will gain your lives- English Standard Version.

So never say never! When the going gets tough, the tough get going! Tough times never last but tough people do. How tough are you? (Mk.5v25-34).

Dearly beloved, to accomplish your colourful destiny, you must never give up. You must not give up on:

• Yourself. Never write yourself off. Give yourself a chance to succeed by believing in yourself (Mk.9v23).
• Life. Remember that once there is life, there is hope and it’s not over yet until it’s over (Job 14v14).
• Trying. In many success stories, there are lots of trials; so, never give up on trying. Try again. Try harder. Never stop trying! (1Ki.17v41-46).
• Your assignment/calling. You need to be your greatest cheerleader. Believe in your mandate and vision no matter how ridiculous it looks.
• Your talents/abilities. Keep harnessing your potential; it will speak to your generation if you don’t quit (2Tim.1v6).
• Your faith. Your faith will overcome if you refuse to give up. Hold fast to your faith (Heb.10v35-39).
• God. God never fails. He is working behind the scenes and He will never allow you to be put to shame (Ps.121v1-8).

My dear reader, make up your mind today that you will never ever give up. Make up your mind today to never quit. Never surrender your dreams to noisy negatives. Keep pushing, keep plodding. You will get there if you faint not in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I embrace a persevering attitude and spirit. I refuse to cave in at the slightest provocation and pressure. I hold fast to you and I will never be shaken in Jesus name, amen.

CONFESSION: The never say never spirit is my attitude and disposition to life. I will not bow or succumb to the pressures of life. I will not surrender my dreams and aspirations to contrary situations and challenges. I hold fast to my dreams and to my God. Therefore, I will not be put to shame. As I persevere, I possess a higher and better life in Jesus name, amen.
