2Ki.4v1-7: A certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. And the creditor is coming to take my two sons to be his slaves”. So Elisha said to her, “what shall I do for you? Tell me, what do you have in the house?” And she said, “your maidservant has nothing in the house but a jar of oil”. Then he said, “go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbours- empty vessels; do not gather just a few. And when you have come in, you shall shut the door behind you and your sons; then pour it into all those vessels, and set aside the full ones”. So she went from him and shut the door behind her and her sons, who brought the vessels to her; and she poured it out. Now it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said to her son, “bring me another vessel”. And he said to her, “there is not another vessel”. So the oil ceased. Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, “go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest”.

A Miracle is something you can’t explain naturally or humanly speaking. A Miracle happens when God steps into a matter by suspending natural laws. This is what God did in the life of Widow of the Dead Sons of the Prophet in our Text Scripture (2Ki.4v1-7). I guess you are wondering if such kinds of things still take place in our days, the answer is a capital Yes. God is still very much in the business of showing his Miracles of divine help. So what areas of your life do you need his miraculous help today? I want you to expect him to show up big for you. He will manifest his Miracles of financial, physical, professional, etc. of Divine Help in your life this season if you will only believe and also be expectant.

So how shall there be Miracles of Divine Help? I am sure this is perhaps the question in your heart. I will tell right way how God intends to work these Miracles:

1. By making something out of nothing. This is what God did for the Poor widow in (2Kings 4 verse 1-7). Out of her little pot of oil, God wrought a Miracle of supply and abundance. What looked insignificant become a significant weapon in the hand of the Lord. What was of no value became a source of Great Value. This is what Jehovah is set to do in your own life too if you will be willing to act on his Instructions Ps.118v22-23).

2. By turning little into Much. God turned a small pot of oil into several pots of oil. This is the Miracle of multiplication at work. He is still the same God who multiplied the 5 loaves and 2 fishes. He will turn whatever little you have now if you will be courageous in putting it into his hands (Matt.14v19-20).

3. By making a Way where there is no Way. My God is a way maker. He works miracles by making a Way where there seems to be no way. This is what he did for this poor Widow here. He can do the same even much more if you will obey him. Great things are in the offing for those who will be courageous to act on his Instructions (Isa.43v19). So my dear brothers and sisters, don’t be afraid or terrified, he will come through for you.

4. By Making the impossible becoming Possible. God made the impossible to become possible for this Poor Widow. Do you know he can still do the same for you too? He is no respecter of persons but a respecter of faith. So what is that impossible situation in your life right now? I want you to get set for a miracle. Get ready to receive God’s visitation in that area of your life today. The Mighty God of Israel will intervene in your behalf beginning from this moment in Jesus name, amen (Lk.1v37).

5. By turning things around in your favor. This is what God did for this Widow of the dead Prophet. God turned her shame into Glory. Her disgrace into Honor. God literally changed her story, status, and even her situation. My dear reader, he is still the same God. That is why you can expect his Miracles of Divine Help today (Pro.16v7).

I want you to know that Miracles are happening every day! Our God is still very much in the business of doing Miracles. In fact, he wants to manifest his Miracles of Divine Help as he did for this poor Widow in your life! Are you ready for his Visitation?
