Living the Extraordinary Life 1

John10verse10 ‘The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.’

Living an extraordinary life is the heritage of the believer. God designed and equipped you for this kind of life. This is why Jesus said in our text scripture (Jn10verse10) that he came to give us life in abundance. Yes, the kind of life that is above or beyond the ordinary. You are not supposed to be bound by the flesh, natural or physical. Jesus came so that you can live a superabundant and superior life. In other words, he designed you for the uncommon, more excellent or surpassing life. So my dear reader, what kind of life are you living? To live any other kind of life will be an insult to the provisions that Jesus has made for you. Gen1v28: Ps8v4-6
Precious child of God, you need to know that you have been equipped for the extraordinary life! How do we know this? We know this because of the equipment and weapons that God has given us for this kind of life. So what are these weapons?

1. His supernatural word. He has given you his word to put you over in this life and His word is supernatural in nature. When you learn to walk in his word, the supernatural becomes a common place in your life. So how have you been relating to his word. Ps107v20: Heb4v12

2. The blessed Holy Spirit. Yes, you have a great comforter in the person of the Holy Spirit. So you are never alone. God knows that you will need help in the journey of life. This is why He has equipped you with the Holy Spirit; He is your teacher, helper, aider, counsellor, pleader, advocate and intercessor. So the major question is how much you are tapping into this great resource. Jn14v26: 2Tim1v7

3. His uncommon covenant. By this, I mean his covenant of grace. Yes, you have an extraordinary covenant. A covenant like no other and one which has your best interests at heart. 1Cor15v10
My dear reader, with these wonderful equipment there is no reason why you ought to live an ordinary life. The major problem is that we have not been taking full advantage of these weapons. I pray that today will usher you into a better working knowledge of these weapons.

Prayer for Today: Precious holy spirit, thank you for opening my eyes to the kind of life you want me to live! I fully embrace this lifestyle in Jesus name, amen.
