Living in The New Year 5

Ephesians 5verse15 see then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.

You are welcome back to our discussion on how to live in the New Year. As you can see from our text scripture in Ephesians 5 verse15, you need to be discreet and wise in the way you live. Your lifestyle is what is responsible for what you become or get out of this life. This is why you need to pay much attention to your lifestyle. In Order for things to be different, you need to live differently. I have been sharing with you some of the ways in which you can live if this year will be a different one for you. By His grace today, I will share another key principle that will help you live well. So what is this Principle all about?

HOW TO LIVE IN THE NEW YEAR

4. Live your life to the full. This is how to live your life well. Live to the full of your abilities, talents and potential. Maximise the opportunities that come your way. By the time you die, you ought to die empty. i.e. in the sense that you have used up and given your best to the business of life. My dear friends, don’t just pass through this place without being noticed; don’t pass through here without fully living your life. Don’t live three quarters or 50% of your life but live 100% of your life. Whether you know it or not, life is a Stage and not a dress rehearsal. This is why you ought to live it to the full. Dont put your life on hold. Remember that your life is a gift from God, so make good use of it. Make sure you live your life to the full. Eccle9v10

So how can someone live this kind of life? How can you live a full Life? You can live a full life by:

i. Doing the things that you love. Are you doing the things you love or dislike? Are you doing the things you want or the things you don’t want? The answer you give to these questions will determine whether you are living a full life or not! To do the things you love is to do the things you are passionate about. So stop chasing after shadows instead of pursuing your dreams, especially those in your heart. Follow your heart and not your head. The secret of satisfaction is doing the things you love. So what are the things you have always wanted to do? Don’t waste your life and time chasing what won’t add value to your life or others. Focus on your strengths and abilities and not your weaknesses. Stop waiting for perfect conditions, just make a move and it will surprise you what God will do for you when you start living like this. Pro25v14. So dearly beloved, it’s time to make a move.

ii. Give life your Best Shot. You may not have a second chance to make a first Impression. So whatever your hands find to do, do it with the whole of your heart. This is how to give life your best shot. Stop focusing on the negativity. Focus on positivity. Stop focusing on what you don’t have but focus on what you have. Wherever you are, be there with the whole of your heart. Apply yourself totally. Dont hold back or deny yourself. Bury yourself into your work, vocation, assignment or endeavour. Don’t be a quitter. Don’t give up easily. Go at it again. Go one more round. Just make sure that wherever you are and whatever you do, do it to the best of your abilities. You cannot but live a triumphant life when you live like this. This shall be your testimony and lot this year as you walk with him.

Prayer for Today: Holy Spirit, help me to live my life to the full in Jesus name amen.

CONFESSION: I will live to the full my capabilities and abilities this year. I won’t hold back or throw in the towel. I will apply myself to my assignment and work! I won’t be slothful or lazy. As I give life my best shots, Nations and Kings are coming to my light. Glory be to His Name for my life is changing for the better in Jesus name amen.
