Ephesians 5 verse 15 ‘see then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise’.

You are welcome back to our discourse on how to live in the New Year. As you can see from our text scripture that it’s important for you to live right and not anyhow. This is why God wants you to live circumspectly as wise and not as fools. It’s obvious from God’s Word and will that he has prescribed ways of how he wants you to live. Thank God his Word has not left us in the dark as per his ways and thoughts. So by the Grace of God, I will be sharing with you, from today’s lesson, how God expects you to live this year so as to make the most out of the year!

HOW TO LIVE IN THE NEW YEAR

1. Live a Life that is pleasing to God. This is how you ought to live in the New Year. First, let God be happy or pleased with you. In other words, make pleasing God your main priority and pursuit. When you do this, you will discover that:

– Your enemies will become your well-wishers. Pro16v7

– His blessings will be upon you. Isa42v1

– Your prayers will be answered. 1Jn3v22

These are just some of the blessings that will come into operation in your life when You make pleasing God your main objective. So are you ready to please God in all your Ways this Year? Matt3v17; Col1v19

I believe it’s your desire to please God this Year! So how can you then please God? What are the things that are pleasing to God? I want to share with you at this juncture some of the things that are pleasing to God, so if you are ready, here we go!

I. Doing his will is pleasing to God. So have you made up your mind to do his Will this year and at all times? Jn4v34;6v38

Ii. Keeping his commandments. Keeping his commandments is one of the things that are pleasing to God. So are you a keeper of his commandments? Ps110v10; 112v1

III. Living by faith. Living by faith pleases God. Do you live by faith or by sight? It’s time to start putting your trust in God because he is the only one who will never fail you. Heb10v38;11v6

Iv. Doing good. This is pleasing to God. Giving is the highest form of living. When you are a blessing to others, you are doing good. So who is getting better because of you today? What kind of impact are you making? It’s time to start living the life that is pleasing to God. Stop living for yourself or for selfish reasons. Start becoming other people-minded and watch how your blessings will greatly multiply a thousandfold. Heb13v16; Acts10v38

Beloved, nothing is as profitable as pleasing God! So make it one of your priorities this year! I see you experiencing a lifting this year in Jesus name amen
