Esther was disciplined in character and was respectful:

These are great virtues that stood her out even in the palace. She respected Mordecai when she was under his tutelage, she still respected him when she got to the palace.

Many people tend to be intoxicated with power once they get to the place of authority. This was not the case with Esther. She was still respectful and she was disciplined throughout the time she was been mentored by Hegai.

The bible says in Esther 2 vs 15 ” when it was her turn to go in unto the king, she required nothing but what Hegai the King’s chamberlain, the keeper of the women appointed or advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all them that looked upon her”.
