Eph.5v22-23: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church, and He is the Saviour of the body
The task of leadership is not an easy one especially leading your home as the head of the family. This is why I have been sharing with you some of the proven and tested tools that can help you to successfully lead your home. Like is commonly said, “uneasy lies the head that wears the crown” but the good thing is that with God’s help and wisdom, leadership can be made easy. Today by His grace, I will be sharing some of the effective tools you need to lead your home well. Here we go!
HOW TO LEAD YOUR HOME SUCCESSFULLY
- Lead by example. My dear reader, nothing influences people more than your example. So, if you really want to lead your home successfully as the husband, you need to show the right kind of example. Don’t just say “do as I say,” rather say “do as I do.” The best way to influence things in your home is to lead by example. Whatever change you desire or want to see in your home, be the change you want to see in manifestation. Be a worthy example in your worship i.e. family devotion, services, seeking God’s face et cetera. Be a worthy example in your love and care. Be a worthy example in the way you do things and your decision. By every possible means, make sure you are communicating the right kind of message to your children and wife. Don’t just be a talker but be a doer. Practice what you preach as the man of the house from today and watch the change that will happen in your home (Eph.5v1). Can your wife and children follow your example?
- Lead in the fear of the Lord. My dearly beloved, don’t run your family like Isaac and Rebekah did in (Gen.25v28). Don’t ever have a preference for one child above the other. This was the mistake and undoing of Isaac and Rebekah. Avoid favoritism or discrimination; let your leadership be fair and just. If you lead in the fear of God as the husband, you won’t be cruel, mean, selfish, hostile, inconsiderate, or difficult to deal with. Are you walking in the fear of God? If you really have the fear of God in your life, you:
* Won’t lead by divide and rule tactics.
* Will do the right things.
* Will be mindful of your actions.
* Won’t lead anyhow.
* Will be mindful of tomorrow.
The time has come for you to lead your home in the fear of the Lord and not according to the fear of man or the fear of the world (Eccle.12v14). As you take this stand, I see the birthing of new things in your home and marriage in Jesus name, amen.

Prayer for Today: Lord, help me to be the kind of man that leads his home in the fear of the Lord and by godly examples in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: Holy Spirit, help me to lead my family in the right way and path. Help me to be a shining light to my children and wife. Help me to be a source of inspiration and motivation. Help me lead with godly reference and by being a worthy example in all that I do and who I am. Lord, be thou glorified in my home and family.
