Eph.5v22-23: Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is head of the wife, as also Christ is head of the church, and He is the Saviour of the body

Dear friends, we know that the job of leading the home falls directly on the husband because according to Eph.5v22-23, the husband is the head of the wife. Headship speaks of leadership and responsibility. How can the husband provide the right kind of leadership in his home? This is going to be the focus of our discussion in this series of teachings and I pray that you will be richly blessed in Jesus name, amen. If you will be successful in leading your home, there are some essential tools you need to equip yourself with. What then are these tools and how can you acquire them?

HOW TO LEAD YOUR HOME SUCCESSFULLY

1. Lead by the wisdom of God. You need God’s wisdom to lead your home successfully. At times, the reason for leading foolishly is because of a lack of wisdom. You can see this is display in the way Nabal led his home. (1Sam.25v3). To lead your home successfully as the husband, you need the wisdom of God which is far better than human or worldly wisdom. The good thing about God’s wisdom is that it is accessible and available to you. All you have to do is to search the scriptures. Yes, the word of God is the wisdom of God and as you begin to search and study it, it begins to guide and lead you in your actions and decisions. My dear brother, it’s time to search the scriptures. It’s time for you to begin to spend quality time in the Word so that you can become wiser. Let me encourage you by saying that the Word contains and possesses answers/solutions to every bugging problem or issue in your marriage. So the earlier you start consulting the word, the better for you. Will you start doing this from today? (Ps.119v105, 130).
   
2. Lead together with your wife. Don’t be the only one leading your home, for “two is better than one,” says the scriptures. Don’t be a solo or insecure leader like Nabal; lead your home with your wife. Work together as a team. The truth of the matter is that there is a limit to what you alone can do and don’t just use the brains you have; use all the brains you can borrow. This is the secret of the husband of the Virtuous Woman in Pro.31v10. Precious child of God, you need to carry your wife alongside you. Discuss issues, intentions, or plans with your wife. By the way, you don’t lose anything when you carry your wife alongside, instead, you benefit a lot from such action. Therefore, begin to leverage the power of your union with your wife. It will make your job of leading easier and more successful in Jesus name, amen. (1Cor.8v2).

My dearly beloved ones, the task of leading your home can become a delight as you engage these principles. May this be your experience in Jesus name, amen.
