Investing In Your Spiritual Growth 4

Colossians 2verse6-7 ‘V6-As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: V7-Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.’

The subject of investing in your spiritual growth is of great importance to God, as seen in our text (Colossians 2v6-7). So also, it should be of great concern to you as a believer. This is why God is bringing this series of teachings your way and I strongly believe that it will take your spiritual growth to another level. There should be cogent reasons behind whatever we do. In the same vein, there are reasons why any serious-minded believer should invest in their spiritual growth. These are the things that I have been sharing with you and in today’s devotional, I will go further in shading more light on this. So if you are ready, here we go!

REASONS FOR INVESTING IN YOUR SPIRITUAL GROWTH:

3. Because investing in your spiritual growth is investing in your future. My dear brothers and sisters, your future is in your today, so whatever you do today impacts your tomorrow and destiny. This is why you need to consider investing in your spiritual growth seriously. How your spiritual growth will look like tomorrow is determined by the investments you are making in your spiritual growth. So what kind of investments are you making? Ps22v30.You are the only one who can answer this question! So this is why you need to start investing in your spiritual growth today. Whatever spiritual investment you are making today into your walk with God will show in the future. A good example of this is Daniel and his friends in Babylon. Their investment in walking with God gave them a glorious future in Babylon. The same can also be said of you if you start making the right kind of investments in your spiritual growth. Dan1v8, 17, 20

4. Because Satan is after your spiritual growth. I don’t think this should surprise you because Satan knows the implications of your growth, spiritually speaking. This is why he seeks to fight it at all costs. Luk22v31-32. But you have what it takes to ward off all his attacks and trickery. This is why you need to take the issue of growing spiritually speaking more seriously. Matt13v25. My dear reader, don’t allow Satan to preoccupy you with other frivolous things aside from growing up spiritually. Don’t allow the enemy to limit, obstruct or hinder your spiritual growth. Start saying no from today! Start resisting him vehemently! If you stand your ground, you prevail at the end of the day! I see you winning as you take more seriously your spiritual growth. 2Cor2v11.If you are keying into this, do say a Big AMEN.
