Colossians 2verse6-7 ‘V6-As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: V7-Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.’

The issue of investing in your spiritual growth is something that you need to take more seriously. In fact, as you can see from our text scripture (Colossians 2verse6-7), God expects you to invest heavily and diligently into your spiritual growth. It should be a matter of interest and business to you as a believer. This is why God is sending you this teaching today. However, if you will excel at investing in your spiritual growth, then there are some important truths that you need to know and be familiar with. I shared some of them with you in our last lesson. Today, by His grace, I will be sharing the remaining ones with you. So without much ado, can we examine them now?

BASIC TRUTHS:

4. Investing in your spiritual growth compounds with time. This is one beautiful thing about investing. As you diligently invest in your spiritual growth, it begins to grow in value and worth. You should not stop investing in your spiritual growth because the fruits and dividends are second to none. Investing in your spiritual growth multiplies your life, so it’s time for you to get busy investing in your spiritual growth. Luk2v40, 52

5. It starts Now or Today. The journey of a thousand miles starts with a step, and not just any step but a step in the right direction. So my dear reader, will you start investing in your spiritual growth today? You need to remember that tomorrow is the only day that appeals to a lazy man. So why not start today? I guarantee you that you won’t regret doing so! So start now! Start right where you are! Start with what you have; it will amaze you what God will do! Rom2v1

6. It will cost you something. Nothing goes for nothing! There is a price for spiritual growth! Are you willing to pay the price? My dear reader, investing in your spiritual growth will cost you time, money, energy, effort etc. But the good thing about this is that it’s something you can do. So why not start investing today? Luke2v36-38: Exo33v11

7. It’s a culture and habit that you need to cultivate. Investing in your spiritual growth is not a gift or talent but an act and habit you need to develop. I hope you know that you can master any skill if you give attention and detail to it. So why don’t you start by practising the habit of investing in your spiritual growth today? 1Pet2v2
