Impactful Thanksgiving 4

Genesis 8verse18-21 ‘V18-And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons’ wives with him: V19-Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. V20-And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. V21-And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more everything living, as I have done.’

A life of impactful Thanksgiving should be your objective and goal as a believer. It’s not just enough to offer praise but you need to offer it to God in a way that is pleasing to him. Isa43v23-24. This is what I have been sharing with you for some time now in this series. I pray that Jehovah will grant you further understanding in Jesus name, amen. So how can you render thanks unto God in an impactful manner? In our last lesson I shared some insights with you along this line, but today by his grace, I will be sharing more Insights with you on this subject matter. So without much ado, let’s examine these truths right away.

3. By Doing Something Extraordinary. This can also mean doing something that is exceptional or unconventional. Something different from what others do! Something unique or out of the box. Something inspired by God! Something that is not traditional or conventional. This was the kind of appreciation that Noah offered unto the Lord (as seen in our text scripture-Genesis8v18-21). He offered unto God every clean beast and clean fowl out of the few remaining species of animals left after the flood. His thanksgiving was sacrificial and also cost him something dearly. This kind of thanksgiving qualifies as an extraordinary one! Another example in the New Testament is the poor widow in Mark 12verse41-44. She gave unto God out of her penury! Her thanksgiving caught the attention of Jesus and heaven also! You too can make such kind of impact through your thanksgiving because God is not a respecter of persons but a respecter of faith. I pray that God honors your faith as you obey his word today in Jesus name, amen.

4. By giving Your Best. I have often said that only the best is good for God. When It comes to offering God your thanks don’t give him the left overs or anything. Give him your best! This is how the people who offered impactful thanksgiving went about their thanksgiving in the scriptures and following their examples will change your life forever. So what are you waiting for? It’s time for you to follow the example of Noah in his style of appreciating God (Gen8v20). It’s time for you to also follow the example of Abel in appreciating your Maker (Gen4v3-4). I pray for you today that this will be your testimony from henceforth in Jesus name, amen.
