Ephesians 4verse29 ‘Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.’
Your words are so powerful and carry a lot of weight! This is why you need to pay attention to what comes out of your words. Instead of vain and empty words, choose to say life and profitable words. Interestingly, God has given you the power to choose your words. So it’s high time for you to start making good use of your mouth. Matt18v18.
So how should you speak if your words are going to work for you? If your words will work for you, then you need to:
1. Speak the Word of God. There is nothing as powerful as the Word. It’s more powerful than the words of a man, prince or organization. So, you need to start speaking God’s Word into every area of your life. And guess what? If you will do this effectively, you need to be familiar with the Word of God. So, how much of his words do you know? Matt4v1-11.
2. Speak faith and not your fears. You need to learn how to speak faith because this is the key to unlocking every good thing that God has in store for you. So, if you ever want your words to work for you, start speaking faith, not your fears. Start speaking from your heart and not your head! Start saying what you believe about the Word from your heart! As you do this, you will see the wonders of God. Mk11v23-24.
3. Speak as inspired by the Spirit and not by your flesh. Let the Holy Spirit take you over! Let him have his way in your life! As you yield your life to him in totality, you will begin to see the wonders of God in your life. So, my dear reader, let the Spirit guide you with regard to what you say or are saying. As you allow the Spirit to take you over, your words will be powerful and impactful. 2Sam23v2; Acts4v8, 31.
Prayer for Today: Lord, I receive grace to pay attention to the words of my mouth from today onwards in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: Glory be to God! For my words are working for me and not against me. I dominate my world via my mouth. My mouth grants me access to the riches of his provision and my inheritance in Christ. Blessed be God! My days of walking in victory and power are here!
