Ephesians 5 verse 1-3 ‘V1-Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; V2-And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. V3- But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
As believers, we have been called to walk in love like Jesus did. We are his children and we ought to also walk in his examples. He was love personified and lived the love life successfully. This is why God wants you as his child to walk in love like Jesus did. And if you have been following these series of teachings, I have share some powerful insights with you on how to do this. Today by his grace, I will be proceeding in sharing with you some other stuff in walking in love! Are you ready for this? So here we go!
3. Be a Peacemaker. To walk in love, you need to be a peacemaker. What does this mean? It means not to be a trouble maker! It also means to be interested in making peace than causing trouble. My dear reader, it takes a lot of effort, to maintain peace while it’s much easier to cause trouble. I have discovered that it takes more effort to build than to destroy. So make up your mind today that you will be a peacemaker instead of a trouble shooter. As a general rule, go out of your way to make peace, whether you are the offender or not! Rom12v17. This is what it takes to walk in love! Are you ready to embrace this kind of lifestyle?
4. Seek the good of one another. This is also another important element in walking in love. Those who walk in love also have the habit of doing good unto others. They genuinely seek the welfare and wellbeing of their brother and sisters. My dear reader, this is what love is all about. It’s not about thinking about yourself alone or all day long. It’s about caring about others. Showing them that you care and are genuinely interested in their progress. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. True love cares! It is not selective or biased towards others. Heb13v16. My dear friends, this is how to love. This is how God wants you to show your love to others. It’s time to become other people-minded! It’s time to do away with every form of selfishness and self. It’s time to walk in love like Jesus did! May today usher you into such a dimension of life in Jesus name, amen.
