How To Secure Answers To What You Have Been Waiting For 1

Ps.40v1-3: I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth, praise to our God; many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.

This lesson is primarily for people who trust God for certain things that have not yet manifested in their lives. As you can see from the example of David’s testimony in (Ps.40v1-3), it is evident that what he was expecting from the Lord he ultimately received. He waited patiently until the fulfilment of the Prophetic promise that was spoken over his life in becoming King over Israel. You, too, might have prayed or trusted God for the manifestation of certain promises; I want you to know that God is going to bring you into the season of fulfilment. So how can you secure answers to your heart desires? This is what this message is all about today. However, before I begin to share with you how you can secure answers to what your heart longs or expects, you need to understand some truths that will ultimately help you receive your heart desires.

VITAL TRUTHS TO KNOW:

1. God’s word works all the time. This is a fundamental truth that you need to know with absolute conviction and authority. There will never be a time that the word of God does not work and let me also say God is ever faithful. In fact, He’s too faithful to fail or disappoint; this is one of the important principles you need to understand if you’re going to ever receive answers to your heart desires (Matt.24v35; Isa.55v11).

2. Regardless of what you see or feel, God’s word is working. You need to remember this all the time. The fact that you might not feel it or even see it does not mean that the word of God is not working. Most of the time, we allow ourselves to be ruled or governed by what we see around us, forgetting that God’s word is not a respecter of circumstances or situations. You need to remember this precious child of God that God usually works behind the scenes. The fact that it is not obvious to you does not mean that God is silent, nor does it mean that the word of God is ineffective. I want you to know with absolute conviction from today that the word of God is working whether you feel like it or not. This is very important for you to know if you will ever receive answers to what you are seeking. In fact, I want you to make this confession right now, say God’s word is working in me, for me and on my behalf, that is why I will not be put to shame (2ki.3v16-17).

3. Delay is not denial. The fact that there is a delay does not mean that God has not answered you or the answer has been denied. This is a very important principle you need to remember if you are going to receive answers to the things you are seeking or trusting God for. Waiting does not mean that God has forgotten or abandon you; you need to understand that the fact that there is a delay does not mean that the answer is not forthcoming. So what does delay really mean? Delay simply means wait a little bit or exercise patience or hold on a little bit more. Waiting time is not easy, but I guarantee you that it pays a great dividend at the end of the day. So make up your mind from today that you will not allow the delay to rob you of your blessings. I want you to know that something good and glorious is in the offing for you, and your expectation will not be cut off. If you believe this, say a big Amen (Isa.30v18; Lam.3v25).

4. There is an appointed time of waiting. This is another crucial principle that you need to understand if you are ever going to receive answers to what you are seeking. I want you to know that waiting is never a waste of time. God will make all things beautiful in his time, so you need to understand, precious child of God, that there is an appointed time or season for your visitation, and if you exercise patience and faith, you will ultimately receive the promise. In fact, another thing you don’t understand is that our times of waiting are not the same. The fact that it is happening for somebody now does not mean that it might happen for you now, but one thing is sure, your time of manifestation will surely come if you faint not. So cheer up because your expectations will not be cut off. I want you to know that the Lord is good to the soul that waits for him. One thing is sure and certain, you will testify of the goodness and the mercies of Jehovah. Therefore, I want you to be encouraged today, knowing fully well that your answer is on the way. Whatever it is, as you wait and trust Him, you will sing a new song. This is my prayer for you today. I look forward to hearing your testimonies because I know that you will ultimately receive the answers you are seeking in the name of Jesus Christ (Ps.105v17-22: 31v15).

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, help me to be able to wait for the answers that I’m trusting you for. I receive Grace in this area in the name of Jesus.

CONFESSION: I know that God is faithful to his promises and his word. Therefore, my waiting shall not be in Vain. I will wait for the manifestation and fulfilment of his promises towards me. I know that God’s word is working on my behalf and for me whether I feel it or not. I am not moved by what I see or feel. I believe the testimony of the word of God rather. My Heavenly Father cannot lie; therefore, the answers I seek will ultimately manifest in his season and I wait for its manifestation in my life. This is my testimony and my song in Jesus name.
