John16verse33: “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

How have you been responding to the challenges of this season? It’s either you are responding properly or wrongly! There are no in-between! In fact, you can either be responding or reacting to the challenges of this season! So what is your response? I strongly believe that God wants you and I to respond properly to challenges that are around us in this season. These challenges are numerous and some of these challenges include hyperinflation, rising cost of living, recession, insecurity and other uncertainties just to mention a few. My dear brothers and sisters, God already knows that you will face turbulent times. That is why Jesus encourages us in our text scripture to be of good cheer or courage because he has overcome or conquered the world. So, no matter the pressure, affliction, anguish and troubles of this hour, you are covered. This is an important truth that you need to know without any iota of doubt if you will be triumphant in this season! There is hardly anywhere you turn to these days that there is not one challenge or the other but you need not be afraid or terrified because there are ways God wants you to respond to what is happening! However, before we start looking at the right ways of responding, I want to share some basic truths about these challenges with you. If you are ready, here we go!

TRUTHS ABOUT THESE CHALLENGES:

1. It is common. This simply means that you are not the only one who is going through such challenges. And in actual fact, you will not be the last one to go through these challenges! This is one of the basic truths that you need to know with absolute conviction in your heart. These challenges are common. It is happening to everyone and no one is exempted! Challenges happen to everyone! So don’t allow the enemy to begin to make you feel like something is wrong with you! It’s perfectly okay for you to be challenged! 1Cor10v13. In fact, you are in good company because our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was also challenged! And if he could overcome it, it’s a testament that you, too, will subdue whatever is before you today in Jesus name, amen. Heb5v7-9. So, my dear friends, whatever challenges you are facing this season, know that it is common! Say this out loud: My Challenges are common!

2. It is part of the end-time prophecies. You need to understand, precious child of God, that we are in the end times. And certain things will have to happen because God has already said it will happen! There is nothing you can do about it because God is not a liar and he is too faithful to fail. 2Tim3v1. However, the good part of the news is that you can choose your response to the fulfilment of these end-time prophecies! Glory be to God! For God has given you the power of choice! God has a promise of keeping his own even in the time of famine and adversity! So rejoice, for you are never alone! You cannot stop a bird from flying over your head but you can surely stop a bird from sitting on your head! Therefore my admonition to you today is for you to choose the right response to whatever challenges you are currently facing. For as you do so, your victory will be guaranteed and established! Ps23v4. If you are receiving this can I hear a resounding amen?
