How to Pray With Results 1

James4verse3 ‘Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.’

There is nobody who wants to labour in vain. Everybody, to a great extent, wants to make progress in life. The same is also true of our prayer life. People generally want to get results when they pray but this is often not the case with everyone. It’s one thing to pray and it’s another thing to get results from your prayers. If you look at our text scripture (James 4verse3), it makes us to realize one of the reasons why some prayers are not answered. So if you want to pray with results, then you need to pray according to the scriptures. What does this mean? It simply means praying according to how the Bible says we should pray. We are not to pray like you want but to pray like we ought to pray. So how does the scripture encourages us to pray?

1. Pray with faith in your heart. Without faith, your prayers won’t be answered. So my dear reader, are you praying with faith or not? Mk11v24: Matt21v22. My dear reader, always endeavour to have confidence in the ability of God to hear you when you pray. This is one of the secrets of answered prayers.

2. Pray according to his will. If you really want to get results from your prayers, then you need to pay attention to this all-important principle. 1Jn5v14-15. Always remember to pray according to God’s will or purpose if you want your prayers to be answered

3. Pray without ceasing. This simply means to pray without omission or to make prayer a regular part of your life. Prayer ought to be the way of life and not something you do only when you are in a fix. 1Thess5v17

4. Persevere in the place of prayer. This is one important ingredient you need to add to your prayer life if you want to get answers to your prayers. At times we give up too easily in the place of prayer; we need to know how to tarry until the answer comes. I pray that this grace rests on your prayer life from today in Jesus name, amen. Rom12v12: Lk18v1. For this is one of the secrets of the great men and women of prayer.

5. Pray in the name of Jesus. This is how to get results in your prayers. If we want to get results from our prayers, we are to pray to the father in the name of Jesus and not in any other name. Jn14v13-14. Always remember that the name of Jesus is your password to his presence
