Psalms 23v1: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
My dear brothers and sisters, I believe this series on how to meet your needs has been a Great Blessing to you so far. God’s intention is for you to come to the place where you can trust and relate to him as your Shepherd indeed! There is absolutely nothing He cannot handle as your Shepherd if only we trust and walk with him! This is the message that David was trying to communicate to us in Psalm 23 verse 1. With the Lord as your Shepherd, your needs shall be adequately taken care of! However, from my interactions with people, I have discovered that not all people get their needs met. Why is this so? Why are some of our needs not met? This is what I intend to share with you today! So without much ado, let’s examine this right away.
Reasons Why Some Needs Are Not Met?
1. Unbelief. This still constitutes one of the major reasons why some needs are unmet. Your lack of trust in His faithfulness will hinder you from receiving in totality what He has in store for you. This is why you need to deal with every form of unbelief in your life. Besides, unbelief is a sin! This same belief hindered the man whom the king so much trusted in 2Ki.7v2 to miss out on God’s miraculous provision. This is why you must deal with unbelief before it starts dealing with you! But, glory be to God, we have an antidote to unbelief and it’s the Word of God! The Word is the answer to your unbelief; this is why you need to saturate yourself in God’s word till every form of Unbelief is taken out of you (Heb.11v6:3v9). Will you begin to do so from Today? It’s time to challenge every atom of Unbelief in you with the Word so that you can enter into the Glorious Provisions of your heavenly father.
2. Disobedience. In order to experience God’s marvelous provisions, you need to follow his lead and directives. Those who enjoy supernatural provisions and help are addicted to obeying his voice. So are you an obedient child of God or not? Do you struggle with doing his will or instruction? It’s time to be like Elijah. If he did not obey God’s directives in (1Ki.17 verses 2 & 9), he would have gone hungry and possibly died in the time of famine. My dear reader, it pays to obey God and whatever he requires of you is for your own good! So it’s time to embrace obedience and say no to every form of disobedience from today (Isa.1v19-20).
3. Laziness. This is also one of the major reasons why some needs are not met. Some people are simply lazy! They are lazy spiritually, mentally, and even physically! This is why they are poor and barely struggle to meet their needs. You heard this saying before; “No food for a lazy man”, this is absolutely true (Pro12v24,27). When you are lazy or idle, you make it difficult for God to bless you. For he has promised to bless the work of your hands, so if you are doing nothing, there is nothing to bless. So it’s time to arise from your slumber and say no to every form of laziness and slothfulness. Until you move, nothing else moves! So I pray for you today that you will arise from every form of slothfulness and begin to take hold of your colorful destiny (Pro.10v4). When you do what you can or have to do, God will do for you what you can’t Do! Your moment of Transformation begins today! Go for it.

Prayer for Today: Heavenly Father, I ask that you remove every obstacle to my receiving from your rich and super-abundant provisions. In Jesus’ name, amen.
CONFESSION: My God has more than enough to meet my needs! So I say no to every worry, doubt, fear and unbelief. I will not allow these things to rob me of my blessings and inheritance. I shall know and experience God’s marvellous Provision in my lifetime! I am a child of Grace; therefore, his grace abounds richly unto me and I have all sufficiency in all things! As I do the things that I can do, God is doing the things that I can’t do, so I will not be put to shame.
