Romans 12 verse 11 (NKJV): not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
How do you keep your fervency in the midst of turbulent and perilous times? How can one’s fire be sustained and increased? How do you grow your fervency? These are things that I seek to provide answers to in this teaching today. So far, I have shared two powerful means of keeping your fervency. Today, with his help, I shall be sharing three more principles with you.
WAYS OF KEEPING YOUR FERVENCY
3. Never depart from His presence or house.
His presence is where his fire dwells. Stay around his fire. Be a resident in His house, not a visitor. Abide and remain in his presence. Sometimes, some people have a problem that they don’t know how to tarry in his presence. Dear friend, this is what you must do in order to keep your fervency. Make sure you resist every attempt by Satan to forsake his presence. His house is a place of empowerment, encouragement, help, and hope! Make sure you learn to abide therein to secure your fervency. Heb 10 v 25: Ps 122 v 1
4. Walk with the right kind of company.
The company you keep determines what accompanies you! You smell like the company you keep, and in fact, you look like the company you keep. Who are your friends or associates? Are you walking with firelighters or firefighters? Beloved, what you need around you are firelighters, not firefighters. 2Cor 9 v 2. You need to choose your company wisely. Walk with passionate and zealous people. Walk with people who can inspire you, not with already expired people. As you walk with people who carry the fire, you will see that your fire won’t go down. Acts 4 v 23
5. Renew your strength from time to time.
This happens as you go on retreats or some extended times with God. You need to do this regularly if you won’t grow cold or become lukewarm. Your strength needs to be renewed from time to time. You need new strength for new days. Your old strength will not suffice. It’s time to renew your strength and vision. It’s time for you to add this to your schedule and operations. As you do so, your light will keep shining in Jesus name, amen. Lk 5 v 36 – 39: Ps 92 v 10

Prayer for today: Heavenly Father, I receive your help and wisdom in keeping my fervency all the days of my life.
CONFESSION: I will not be negligent or lazy with regard to maintaining my fervency. By his grace and help, I will keep watch over my zeal. My zeal will never go down, rather, my love for God and his Kingdom grows more and more every blessed day! This is my testimony and experience in Jesus name, amen.
