Psalm 9verse 9 ‘The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.’
Like the Psalmist says in Psalm 46 verse 1, that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in the time of need! How true are these words even in such a time as we live today. God knows that there will be challenges in our world this is why he has given us his Word to encourage and strengthen us. So dearly beloved, you need not be afraid or terrified because you have what it takes to go through this season. Say this out loud after me, I have what it takes to live through this season! There is nothing that you are going through or will go through that is bigger than God. So cheer up for you are more than a conqueror in Jesus name, amen. If you have been following this series of teaching, we have been looking at how to live in such a time as this and today by his grace, we shall be looking at another powerful instrument that would put you over in this season. Are you ready for this? So here we go!
3. By keeping your mind by all means. Yes, this is another way God wants you to live through this season. This is what the scriptures say in Proverbs 4verse 23 and the Word keep here means to guard, protect, maintain or obey. So God wants you to protect your heart by all means. This simply means that the enemy will try to gain access or take possession of your heart if you allow him. So give him no place at all. And why is he after your heart? It is because that is where the forces or source or boundaries of your life is. So give him no place. Eph4v27. Have you not heard about people in this season who have lost your minds or hearts simply because they couldn’t hold on anymore? It’s important for you to know how to protect your heart even in this season! So how do you do this? You can successfully do this by:
-Being mindful of what you hear. Yes, what you hear is so powerful that it can influence your mind negatively. So what have you been listening to? Choose to listen to the right things and know how to renounce every contrary thing you hear. Ps112v7.
-Being Mindful of what you say. What you say can either help or hurt you. It can free or bind you up! So choose your words wisely in this season! Speak life and not death. Pro18v21
-Being mindful of what you think. What are you thinking about? You need to watch this area of your life because it can either hurt or help your mind! Choose to think about the right things so that your mind will be in a stronger position mentally in Jesus name, amen. Philip4v8
-Being mindful of what you see. What you watch and what you see affects what you can do. So my dear brothers and sisters, you need to pay attention to what you see in this season. You need to deliberately focus on the right things so your mind can be better mentally. Are you ready to make this commitment? Eccl6v9
-Being mindful of where you go. Where you go in this season can either affect you positively or negatively. Make sure that the places you go to in this season are the places that can strengthen and help you. This is why you need to be deliberate and intentional about where you go. Pro1v10-11
My dear reader, mindfulness is a blessing because it helps you to increase your ability to regulate emotions, decrease stress, anxiety, and depression and also increase your happiness! So what are you waiting for? Begin your journey to recovery and victory today! Start paying attention to your mind because it has the power to decide your lot in this season! Will you agree with me today to begin to do this as a matter of urgency?
