2Cor.5v7: For we walk by faith, not by sight.
The subject of living by faith is a big deal and a crucial one for the Believer. In fact, the Almighty has called you to a life of faith, and developing your capacity to live by faith is crucial to your victory and also receiving everything that God has prepared for you. This is why I am sharing with you the subject of living by faith. The Great Apostle Paul was a man of faith, hence, why he said he walks by faith and not by sight. Are you living by faith? It’s either you are living by faith or by something else. My primary goal in this series of teaching is to share with you how to live the life of faith. I believe you are ready for this, so let’s examine how to live this kind of life without much ado.
LIVING BY FAITH:
- By not walking by sight. If you are successful to live by faith, you need to stop walking by sight. Most people live every twenty-four hours in the flesh. They walk or live solely by what they say, hear, fail, smell or touch. They live in the sense realm. But it’s time to shift gears. It’s time to stop walking by sight and start walking by faith. The realm of sight is the realm of the senses. Your walk won’t work effectively if you walk only by seeing, feeling, taste, smell, and touch. The realm of faith is the realm of God. It’s the realm of possibilities or the sixth sense. You can’t walk by faith if you live by your senses alone (2Cor.4v18). This is why I love other translations of 2Cor.5v7 because it draws closer to the main lesson in that scripture. Check this out:
– For our life is a matter of faith, not of sight- Good News Version.
– For we have to live by trusting him without seeing him- J.B. Phillips.
So it’s time to stop walking the realms of the senses alone because there is a superior dimension in living by faith.
2. By having confidence in the Word of God. To walk by faith is to walk by the word of God. So this simply means that to walk by faith, you need to put your trust in the Word of God, as there can be no faith without the Word of God (Rom.10v17).
Those who walk by faith have their confidence rooted in God’s Word. So in whom is your confidence? No word! No faith! The greater your confidence in God’s word, the greater your faith. So how would you measure your confidence in God’s Word? Do you trust your feelings, emotion, situations, or people more than the Word of God? If this is true, you can’t develop a strong faith life. Those who walk or live by faith believe in the testimony of the Word of God. So, my dear reader, it’s time to develop your confidence in God’s Word by reading, studying, meditating, confessing, and acting on the Word of God. These actions will help you to develop confidence in God’s Word as you can’t develop confidence in what you don’t know (Pro.4v20: 3v5-6).
Precious child of God, it’s time to take the issue of walking by faith seriously. I pray for you today that you will enter a new dimension of faith as you commit to living by faith.

Prayer for Today: I choose to walk by faith and not by sight. I embrace the culture of putting my trust in God above anything in Jesus name, amen.
CONFESSION: I live by faith and not by my feelings or emotions. I bring my feelings under subjection to the Word of God. I know that whatsoever I see now is subject to change; therefore, I exalt the Word of God above my situations and circumstances. I know that my faith will ultimately prevail. Therefore, I hold fast to my faith, knowing fully well that I will be victorious at the end of the day! Glory be to Jesus, for my faith puts me over in life.
