2 Peter3verse18: ‘But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.’

You are welcome back to our discourse on how to grow spiritually. It has been an eye-opener and impactful session for me, I hope it’s the same experience with you as well. We have been talking about the importance of growing spiritually and today by his grace, I intend to continue with this conversation. I believe that you will be greatly blessed as we do so today. So without much ado, let’s examine more reasons why you should take your spiritual growth seriously. Here we go!

THE IMPORTANCE OF GROWING SPIRITUALLY:

3. Because your very life depends on it. The spiritual controls or determines the physical. Heb11v3. Your life depends on your spiritual life, this is why you can’t afford to ignore your spiritual growth. Any attempt at doing this will make you vulnerable to the attack of the enemy. Hence the reason why you should take your spiritual growth seriously. A good example of this is Adam and Eve! When something happened to their spiritual lives, they lost the life that they used to live and enjoy. This is the more reason why you need to pay close attention to your spiritual walk with God. As a spiritual man, you cannot be greater than your spiritual life. 1Cor2v15.

4. So that you can access the Fullness of your heritage in Christ. By your spiritual heritage, what do I mean? I mean your personality, possessions, provisions, position, and potential in Christ Jesus. Your spiritual growth is one of the things that helps you to tap into your full potential in Christ. This is why not growing spiritually, will hinder your ability to enjoy what has been provided for you in Christ. Acts20v32; 1Cor2v9. So this lies on you as a believer to grow spiritually if you want to become all that you have the capacity for in Christ. May Jehovah enable with his grace to do this in Jesus’ name amen. So go forth and dominate your world!
