2 Peter3verse18: ‘But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.’

You are welcome back to our discourse on how to grow spiritually. I have been sharing with you on feeding on God’s word as a means of growing spiritually and in our last lesson, I gave you three ways of feeding on God’s word. Today by his grace, I will be sharing the remaining 3 ways with you, so without much ado, let us examine them right away.

4. By meditating on the Word. This is another important way of feeding on God’s word that you need to inculcate into your life if you want to grow spiritually. So what does medication entail? It is thinking, ruminating, pondering or speaking the word of God. It is a powerful means of internalizing God’s word and I strongly recommend this means of feeding on God’s word because it will greatly benefit your life. Ps1v1-3;Jos1v8.

5. By speaking or declaring The Word. My dear friends, this is another important way of feeding on God’s word that you need to imbibe into your lifestyle as a believer if you want to grow. Ps107v20.

6. By doing or Acting the Word. This is simply applying God’s word into your life as a believer. I have discovered that this is one of the means of making the word your own and I will strongly encourage you to make this a regular practice because it will enable you to grow spiritually. Rom2v13; Jam1v22, 25.

So it’s time to become a doer of the word. In all, I have shared 6 ways of feeding on God’s word and if you do these six actions consistently you will grow spiritually. Trust me on this because it is something that has been well-tested and proven. But before I sign off, I would like to share some ways of doing this (6 actions) effectively:

-Have a time for the Word of God. Pro4v20.

-Start reading, hearing, studying, meditating, speaking and acting on the word of God from today. Do this whether you understand it or not, the understanding will come later

-Make up your mind to be a doer of the word of God. Ps34v8.

I believe that as you do these things your life will change for the better.
