Ps.23V1: The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

You are welcome back to our discussion on the God of all-sufficiency. You can enjoy God’s sufficiency like King David did in (Ps.23v1). The all-sufficiency of God is the heritage of every child of God and this is why I have been sharing with you the principles experiencing this sufficiency. Today by his grace, we continue in our quest to understanding the principles of this sufficiency. So another way you can experience God’s sufficiency is to:

HOW TO EXPERIENCE GOD’S SUFFICIENCY

(4) By embracing the abundance mentality or mindset. This is another power principle of experiencing the sufficiency of God. The abundance mentality is “there is more or plenty out there for everyone, or everyone can win”. God has more than enough for everyone, so there is no need to think little or small. Your mentality is very important because it has to do with how you think and see things. To experience God’s abundance, you need to say no to the scarcity mentality and embrace the abundance mentality. So how have you been thinking? Do you think in terms of abundance or scarcity? It’s time to pay attention to your thoughts, it is time to stop thinking little or small, it is time to say no to negativity and embrace the possibilities that are in God. (Lk 1v37: Matt 15v33).

Your thinking can either lift you up or bring you down; that is why you need to be mindful of how you think. In case you are wondering how powerful your thoughts are truths about your thoughts:

  • You become what you think. (Prov. 23v7)
  • You attract what you think. (Prov. 10v24)
  • You possess what you think.

It is clear from the above statements the kind of power your thought possesses. So it is time to tap into this power in a positive way. The best way to do this is by:

  • Choosing the kind of information or things you listen to. Instead, give your attention to the things that will build you up and not pull you down (Rom.10v17 Ps 112 v 7).
  • Renewing your mind with the word of God. This will enable you to think like God and ultimately change the way you think (Phil. 4v8).
  • Changing the company you walk with. You cannot expect to live a positive life if you hang out with negative people (Prov.13v20).

So precious children of God it is time for you to fully embrace the abundance mentality and say no to every form of scarcity mentality around you. This is the key to experiencing the sufficiency of God. I pray that this will be your testimony and experience, too, in the name of Jesus amen.
