You are welcome back to our discussion on how to be a goal-getter? In our last lesson, I started sharing with you certain principles that will enable you to accomplish your goals in life as things don’t just happen but are made to happen. If your goals will see the light of day, there are certain principles to employ and so far, I have shared 2 of them with you. Today by His grace, I will be sharing more with you.

PRINCIPLES FOR ACTUALIZING YOUR GOALS:

3. Visualize your goals regularly. To visualize means to see it come to pass, to imagine it or dream it. God has given you the power to visualize; so, use it to your advantage. My dear reader, if your goals will see the light of day, you need to visualize it regularly with your eyes of the spirit or imagination. There is power in your imagination and your imagination is the greatest nation in the world (Gen.11v6). Visualization helps you to become what you are thinking about for you become what you focus on regularly. It’s time for you to create time for visualizing your goals. Based on what experts say, the best time to visualize is early in the morning and when you are about to sleep. Precious child of God, it’s time to get to work. It’s time to visualize your goals.

4. Break down your goals. How do you do this? By breaking it down into smaller bits and pieces. Why do you need to do this? You need to break down your goals:

  • For easier management and better coordination.
  • For easier execution i.e. as it can help you to take it one goal at a time.
  • For better appraisal and reviews.

It’s time to break down your goals and there are several ways to do this. You can break it down to:

  • Daily goals i.e. goals that you need to do daily.
  • Weekly goals i.e. goals that you need to do weekly.
  • Monthly goals i.e. goals that you need to do monthly.
  • Quarterly goals i.e. goals that you need to do quarterly.
  • Mid-Year goals i.e. goals that you to do on a mid-year basis.

My dear reader, you need to ensure that you break down your goals to cover the key areas of your life. Are you ready for this challenge? I want you to remember that the journey of a thousand miles starts with a step in the right direction. So make your move today!

CONFESSION: I receive grace and discipline to become a goal-getter. I commit myself to visualizing my goals regularly. I also commit myself to breaking down my goals into smaller bits. Through the grace and help of God, I am accomplishing my goals. I will arrive at my expected destination as I do my part in accomplishing my goals in Jesus name, amen.
