John 15verse1-2, 8 ‘V1-I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. V2-Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. V8-Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

As a child of God, you have a mandate to be fruitful. This simply means that you have been called to be fruitful, so barrenness is not an option. Gen1v28.This truth is what you see throughout the length and breadth of the bible. In fact, from our text scripture (John15verse1-2,8), it’s very clear that God wants you to be fruitful. But I have discovered that although we all have the potential to be fruitful our capacities to be fruitful are not the same. Some people are more fruitful than others and the reason for this is because they have developed their abilities to bear fruit. Matt13v8.

My dear reader, you too can join the company of believers who are fruitful in every area of their lives. This is why I believe God is bringing this series of teachings your way today. Therefore, I pray that your capacity to bear fruits will go to another level in Jesus’s name.

So what does it mean to be fruitful? I would like us to consider some definitions below:

-To be full of fruits.

-To have fruits to show for your labors or toil.

-Results to show for your efforts and endeavors.

So are you a fruitful believer? Are you bringing forth fruits like you ought to? The answers you give to these questions will tell whether you are fruitful or not. But as a serious-minded believer, you should be interested in bearing fruits. I’m sure you are wondering why you should do this. Well, here are some reasons why you should do so:

1. Fruitfulness is beautiful. Bearing fruits add beauty and color to your life. Fruitfulness makes you attractive. Matt13v31-32

2. It Glorifies God. When you bear fruits, God is happy and pleased with you. So a fruitful believer gladdens the heart of the father. Jn15v8

3. It shows you are a true disciple of Jesus. This is true because one of the ways you know a tree is by the kind of fruits it is bearing. For by your fruits shall you be known. Matt7v16,20

So my dear friends, now is the time to take your ability to bear fruits more seriously. I pray that today will usher into a new dimension of fruitfulness in Jesus’ name, amen.
